Been home 5 mins from hairdressers.
Just got a weft in for £350 and don't know what I expected but this just isn't it...
Doesn't it look lank?
What do you think?

I'd go back armed with that picture and demand they sort it. That is not a £350 job.

GreatGatsby212 · 07/08/2017 21:23

I have extensions regularly. You just need to go to a haidressers that you trust for a cut. You won't have a chance of a refund as the 350 will cover hair and fitting. I get mine fitted and then get a 20 quid cut from a different salon up the road, they add layers volume etc. Make sure you don't mind having your own hair cut to get a good blend. Good luck!

Imamouseduh · 07/08/2017 21:26

Looks a bit cheap, sorry.

lottieandmia · 07/08/2017 21:30

Definitely go back and complain. You do not have a result which compares with what was advertised. £350 for that?? Unbelievable if you ask me....

mscongeniality · 07/08/2017 21:42

Shouldn't they have at least curled it for you if you're paying that much? £350 Shock

mscongeniality · 07/08/2017 21:44

Your hair should look its very best after any visit to the hair salon. So good that you shouldn't EVER be able to replicate it at home Grin

Coconutspongexo · 07/08/2017 21:47

I think it needs more than just a trim it needs a decent cut and styling and then it should look better, id complain though if it's not what you expected/what was advertised.

nookee · 07/08/2017 21:55

The quality of the hair looks beautiful to me but it definitely needs styling.

Spottytop1 · 07/08/2017 21:58

If it's natural could you just wash, add some serum and curl or straighten?

Grilledaubergines · 07/08/2017 22:08

It needs layering (with razor, you can't cut synthetic the same as human hair). Go back asap.

user1471429763 · 07/08/2017 22:22

OP - I've been getting extensions for years and they've always look a bit 'syntheticy' for the first few washes. You need a good cut and also maybe a style before you decide

BetsyM00 · 07/08/2017 22:23

Am I the only one a bit taken aback by this thread? Never mind the cost, why would anyone want to wear someone else's hair?

thepumpk1neater · 07/08/2017 22:37

Agree Betsy, to an extent.
How do they fix it on and how long do they last? It must be a temporary thing? They always seem to go for such long hair too (I don't mean you OP) which immediately, to me, screams extensions.

Grilledaubergines · 07/08/2017 22:40

Betsy many reasons for real or synthetic extensions. Some are to thicken the hair. Unfortunately not everyone is blessed with luscious locks.

hiphopcat · 07/08/2017 22:42

I assume this is a typo and the amount you paid is £35.00 OP.

I have actually had my hair look better than that when I have been swimming in the sea.

NeverTwerkNaked · 07/08/2017 22:44

I would definitely complain!

BetsyM00 · 07/08/2017 22:47

I just assumed the majority of hair extensions were synthetic. But other people's hair - really? Where do you think it comes from, and how?

Sorry for the derail... But a £600 hair appointment in Wigan?! .

Coconutspongexo · 07/08/2017 22:54

I think I've seen the Wigan one on Instagram!

Evangeline3 · 07/08/2017 23:02

The finishing cut is awful. What kind of method did they use?

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 23:05

She dimply cut across in a straight line whilst I stood up

Please go back and request atleast a partial discount!

thepumpk1neater · 07/08/2017 23:09

A good deal of it comes from India, doesn't it? I remember watching a programme about it a few years ago.

thepumpk1neater · 07/08/2017 23:16

What a horrible article Sad
I wouldn't touch real hair after that (though to be fair I wouldn't anyway, being fortunate enough to have my own hair and not being a fan of extensions).

crazycatgal · 07/08/2017 23:22

The problem is that you've had it done by extensionists and not hairdressers. When I've had my extensions done by extensionists it's been the same where they just cut the ends and that's it. When I've had extensions done by hairdressers the extensions have been cut and styled perfectly.

You need to get yourself to a salon and have the hair cut and layered with yours.
