Been home 5 mins from hairdressers.
Just got a weft in for £350 and don't know what I expected but this just isn't it...
Doesn't it look lank?
What do you think?

I'm sorry OP, I don't know enough about wefts and the like to pass comment but it does look different to the ad.

That said, the ad just looks like a there is a foof with hugely luxuriant pubic hair.

Disclaimer - my laptop is on the wonk so I may be mistaken. Grin

Is it just one weft?

Ear to ear?

GladAllOver · 07/08/2017 17:43

Sorry , but that looks like someone waiting for a Brazilian wax. :)

As they've cut it I would phone or call in asap and say the ends are uneven and the sides also and it needs cutting again.

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 17:47

It's a superweft...not sure what that means

peachgreen · 07/08/2017 17:47

It's not even a very good colour match...

CaptainObviousTwo · 07/08/2017 17:48

Try styling it, OP and see what its like after youve washed it.
I have a hair extensions business and the it does look kind of half finished.
This is my stuff

Glad & Sheldon I think it's just us 😂

NotInMyBackYard1 · 07/08/2017 17:51

Sorry OP I don't think you have got the right finished result here particularly for the money!
I've had a few sets of bonded hair extensions now and paid around that money - however I come away with blended, cut, styled, curled, bouncy beautiful princess hair! I really feel like my hair has been 'done' and it is worth every penny. IMO that is part of the service you should be expecting, so with that said, I would go back, show them the pictures and ask to have it finished like that.
It's worth mentioning that good extensionists know that finished result should look just as good straight as curled - so the cutting and blending in is very important.

sheldonesque · 07/08/2017 17:51

Not just me then glad ? Grin

Bluntness100 · 07/08/2017 17:51

I think the issue is it's not styled or cut properly, not the hair itself.

gingerbreadmam · 07/08/2017 17:53

i bet she is trained in extensions but not cutting. I know someone who does this but still trims it.

It will definitely look better curled but if you want it straight id get a good professional cut on it.

I doubt you would get much volume with extensions as theyre so heavy. would probably need rollers to give them a bit of lift.

CaptainObviousTwo · 07/08/2017 17:53

Extensions need to be layered, it'LL look fake otherwise.

Where are based, OP? Ifind you're local, I'm happy to take a look at it for you and see what I can do (free, of course)

usernamessuck123 · 07/08/2017 17:54

have you been given/advised products to use on them? If you haven't, don't wash it as it will void any chance of warranty or complaint that you have....

This happened to me, but with bond extensions - the lady was just incredibly shocking at blending them in - I went to another hairdresser to get them blended and the difference was incredible!

It can always be saved - don't worry!

sheldonesque · 07/08/2017 17:54

Sorry pant - I missed your post.

well styled fanny Grin

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 17:56

I'm in Newcastle ..none of the staff are hairdressers just trained in extensions.
It might have looked better if a hairdresser cut it.
I feel like one of those dolls heads from the 80s

Who's the lady in the pic, Lindsay? Seen that on Pinterest a lot. Is that the pic you took to the salon? O_o

CaptainObviousTwo · 07/08/2017 18:00

Ah shame, I'm in the Midlands.

Take.yourself off to a trained hairdresser who will be able to blend for you :)

Rossigigi · 07/08/2017 18:01

OP once you give it a wash and
Style it, it will look a lot different!!

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 18:04

She's just someone I found on Pinterest ha ha she had lovely hair

pant and sheldonesque
Sorry ladies - I missed your posts. Credits for being first :)

HollyBollyBooBoo · 07/08/2017 18:09

Just needs a damn good cut. If it's all one length it will just hang, it needs layers to have some movement in it.

Violetparis · 07/08/2017 18:11

I think hair can be too long and ends up just lank and hanging there and this is what it looks like.
