Been home 5 mins from hairdressers.
Just got a weft in for £350 and don't know what I expected but this just isn't it...
Doesn't it look lank?
What do you think?

Is it your first set of extensions though? I've always washed mine as soon a I got home - they look a bit synthetic otherwise. I would just go to a hairdresser and vet a wash, cut and blow dry and they'll probably look good

Namechangetempissue · 07/08/2017 17:31

How long were you there OP?

Stratosfear · 07/08/2017 17:31

Going to preface this by saying I can't even dream of affording 350 pounds on hair so maybe take what I say with a pinch of salt please.

That said, I think it looks really bad. It does not look neat, tidy or healthy. If I go for a (16 pound) haircut I leave the salon with shiny, healthy, neat and tidy hair - it may not be fancy but it's a decent hair style and my hair looks nourished. I know that I won't have to do anything to it for the next couple of days, and the cut/style will last a few weeks.

I think you need to go back and either get a full refund, or go elsewhere and have it cut and styled again.

Sorry OP.

mummabubs · 07/08/2017 17:31

Meant to add definitely don't cut it yourself!!! And just seen the pic they advertise... I'd query whether they've nicked that photo from elsewhere looking at it compared to your experience?

DearMrDilkington · 07/08/2017 17:31

Complain, either they fix it or give you some money back.

BlondeB83 · 07/08/2017 17:31

I would definitely go back and tell them you're not happy with it.

PantPlot · 07/08/2017 17:31

OMG is that two heads blended together, cos at first glance that looked like a really well styled fanny Shock

ShuttyTown · 07/08/2017 17:31

Looks fake I'd complain £350 is a ridiculous price

Ginkypig · 07/08/2017 17:31

I'm not an expert on extensions so I might not be the person to give an opinion but if I saw you in the street, I wouldn't think you had bad hair but I definitely wouldn't think it's £350 worth.

KatoPotato · 07/08/2017 17:32

All the weight is in the bottom, there's no root volume? Is it a full weave? or just an 'ear to ear' weft? It may look better with a bit of back combing?

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 17:32

I was in for 3 hours

MrsXx4 · 07/08/2017 17:32

I don't think it looks lank as such but it doesn't match your hair colour? however, with a good cut, some layers running through it etc I think it will look good! x

Justdontknow4321 · 07/08/2017 17:32

Well the pic of the advertisement has been curled and has obv got product on it...

Yours isn't going to look like that if you haven't styled it..

Wash it, blow dry it and then curl it and see how you feel.

When I go out I sometimes wear clip in human hair exstentions and style it, and I paid about £50 for mine and has them years now! Its all about the styling

Justdontknow4321 · 07/08/2017 17:33

How much was the hair and how much did you pay the women to put it in?

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 17:33

It was £350 including fitting

I don't think it's a good colour match and the ends look very...blunt?

As PP said, go for a cut ( somewhere else!) and they'll be able to blend them in properly for you.

I've paid £180 for full head nano rings before and they were wonderful. I am baffled by the price tag.

Namechangetempissue · 07/08/2017 17:36

I would ring the salon and be honest. Say you are disappointed with the end result and why. For £350 I would have expected them to cut it too or at the very least style it to a degree. Have they given you advice on aftercare and styling?

LetZygonsbeZygones · 07/08/2017 17:37

As far as you know was the £350 for the extensions and fitting only or was styling included in that amount? I reckon for £350 I'd expect them to cut and style it. I would definitely phone asap and say you aren't happy and what you would like them to do. It's a lot of dosh to come out and not be happy or have the result the advert led you to believe you would have.

BlondeB83 · 07/08/2017 17:37

I am also baffled by the price tag, locally they charge £60 for fitting and the hair between £100 and £200 depending on the quality. For around £400 you can have the creme de la creme of extensions.

thepumpk1neater · 07/08/2017 17:40

It's nearly as long as my 10 year old child's hair, but it doesn't look natural, more like a doll's hair where it's been bluntly cut. It looks dry in places too. I wouldn't be happy.

Lindsay28xxxx · 07/08/2017 17:40

I like a angled cut ..not so blunt.
She actually did cut it..that's after cut and style.
Not that you can tell

SpartacusSaiman · 07/08/2017 17:40

I had extensions. Everything was broken down including cutting and styling. You could opt out of styling to save money but i didnt because i want to see them do it. And get some tips.

Extensions of any sort will look lank without product and styling.

Was tge laxk of styling your choice or not offered? Did they offer to shape them?

Aeroflotgirl · 07/08/2017 17:40

No it doesent look good and certainly not worth that money it looks nothing like the picture, can you go back and ask them to correct it.
