Okay so I wasn't going to post until I'd had some kind of resolution. However, planning called today to ask if they could access my garden on Friday as they need to do some "further investigation" and have another planning official who will be there to oversee it??

They wouldn't tell me over the phone what it was about (it wasn't Nice Planning Lady, it was someone I hadn't spoken with before)

Thanks pp for the thread title - which coincidentally was very apt!

No sign of CFN/ builders etc.

There's now a sign up saying
NO ENTRY IN TO PRIVATE GARDEN
CONTACT SOLICITORS NAME if you require further information.

bookbook My favourite jam is apricot, but for a scone and cream it has to be strawberry. I will make do with Tiptree Strawberry if I can't get Little Scarlet. It has to be English jam though...continental jam doesn't have the same set.

Strawberry and passionfruit jam with a scone! Cuts through the creaminess!

redfragglebiker · 04/08/2017 13:14

South Yorks checking in, craving clotted cream and hoping for a juicy update.

Loving all the animal refs for the Black Country flag.

It's actually representative of chain-making, and industry for which the region was well known during the industrial revolution. (Yawn)

I'm voting crab though, but the badger was a close second.

Rugratwrangler · 04/08/2017 13:19

Just here munching a cheese toastie. My parrot is on my shoulder trying to eat out of my mouth. We're both very excited for an update

Thanks Marilyn it's awful! Thundery weather makes it even worse.

WineAndTiramisu · 04/08/2017 13:27

Just make sure you ask, just for interest, how much they think it'll cost CFN to repair the damage...!

I'm dreaming of scones. Meanwhile I have to make do with Brazilian cheese bread and strong coffee. I'll share them with any of you who have had them (you'll know how addictive they are!). And share my home borough coat of arms. With it's odd flying bull thingy!

@MintToBee. Can I be your friend? Blackcurrant jam of any sort is wonderful, but homemade would be heaven! Did you plant the bushes yourself? My late dad planted some but before they could do anything his wife made him get rid because she didn't like blackcurrants.

LinoleumBlownapart · 04/08/2017 13:35

fail!

Surely they're not still there?

If they are that must mean there will be loads to report back!

laura1206 · 04/08/2017 13:39

Have they taken the door down and re-installed the bricks and window? 🤞🏻

justilou1 · 04/08/2017 13:42

DYING HERE!!!

Buxtonstill · 04/08/2017 13:48

picklemepopcorn · 04/08/2017 13:51

The big thing wasn't for moving the bricks, it was for kidnapping Watty. She's been smuggled out under the nose of Spangran...
