CFN Thread #9 (Better call Planning)

Okay so I wasn't going to post until I'd had some kind of resolution. However, planning called today to ask if they could access my garden on Friday as they need to do some "further investigation" and have another planning official who will be there to oversee it??

They wouldn't tell me over the phone what it was about (it wasn't Nice Planning Lady, it was someone I hadn't spoken with before)

Thanks pp for the thread title - which coincidentally was very apt!

No sign of CFN/ builders etc.

There's now a sign up saying
NO ENTRY IN TO PRIVATE GARDEN
CONTACT SOLICITORS NAME if you require further information.

You can have butter then jam. But no cream.

And definitely jam then cream. Even though my family is from Devon. They are wrong.

I am at a wedding on Friday. This is most inconvenient. Still. My cats are perfecting their hard stares for the CFNs.

scaryteacher

I think you live verry verry close to me Shock

Have we had a Northumberland flag yet. I only know about it because you quite regularly see people with them in their cars round here.

The LA area I grew up in doesn't appear to have a flag. But google tells me that this yellow with black and white checkered cross plus ship monstrosity has been proposed.

gingergenius · 02/08/2017 23:53

Ooh @olebiscuitbarrel I'm doing a wedding on Friday - wonder if it's the same one? 🤔

gingergenius · 02/08/2017 23:54

@justoneday shhhhhhhh! Don't say it out loud - he'll be even more insistent that iris elba plays him in the film if he thinks he's got romantic lead potential!

Areyouhavingalaugh · 02/08/2017 23:55

Honestly you lot. Total philistine here. Don't care whether it's jam cream or cream jam. Once it's stuffed in, it still tastes blinkin' marvellous Grin.

All crossed here for you Watty

MiladyThesaurus · 02/08/2017 23:56

It might be a blue and white checkerboard. It was too horrible for me to want to spend long enough looking at it to figure it out.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 02/08/2017 23:56

Here in support of bunting Grin

MrsABrown72 · 02/08/2017 23:57

So ginger, you do too. I know he'll want a good lead, but I imagine him more as Matthew McConaughey - it's big because I had to look up and copy how to spell it.__ I've not spent years signing it as my name

gingergenius · 03/08/2017 00:03

@justoneday
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

ldrisElba · 03/08/2017 00:04

@justoneday I think I have a crush on him too. Wink

justoneday · 03/08/2017 00:04

So newdaddie please can we have a piccie? I'm not all about looks but...

olebiscuitbarrel · 03/08/2017 00:05

Is the wedding in Sarf Lahdan gingergenius More specifically Delboy country? (Though in a hipster chic venue to which the kids haven't been invited because they aren't chi and supposedly might hurt themselves on bits of falling masonry.)

justoneday · 03/08/2017 00:05

Idriselba, we know you're newdaddie!

ldrisElba · 03/08/2017 00:06

Blush busted! Blush

gingergenius · 03/08/2017 00:07

@olebiscuitbarrel nope - not so sunny East Sussex! Shame - we could've worn our ponchos and exchanged secretive, knowing winks!!

Paddingtonsmarmaladesandwiches · 03/08/2017 00:08

Have we cast Whatyy's solicitor yet? May I suggest Amal Clooney? Bonus is she is qualified to protect Whatyy's human rights to enjoy her right to privacy!

gingergenius shame. Still I have half the family eagerly awaiting updates. FIL has been losing sleep over this Watttyyy

They had a similar situation in that they live on a rural smallholding and discovered a planning application notice for 3 houses on their land and to find CFDs (Cheeky fecking developers) were cutting down their hedge in order to create an access road.

It all got sorted pretty quickly though.

justoneday · 03/08/2017 00:12

Yeah but with your little joke newdaddie, it only makes me like you more. Are you really a new daddy, are you then off limits? That's not asking if you are on limits if you're a newdaddie as that automatically makes you off limits.

HicDraconis · 03/08/2017 00:12

Nonononononooooo! It's so much cream then jam. Proper clotted cream which soaks into the scone instead of butter, then a layer of jam on top. If you get it right, the jam and cream all mix in together into a gorgeous sweet creamy layer of utter deliciousness.

Nice pics, Madd - you know Pav was invented in NZ, right? 'Tis one of our national dishes Wink Definitely morning tea time I think!

olebiscuitbarrel · 03/08/2017 00:13

As in one morning they awoke to find a planning application stuck onto the lamppost next to the tiny bit of land they owned!

olebiscuitbarrel · 03/08/2017 00:14

Anyone else want a cream tea now?
