"Feeling blessed".

Oh dear. Am reading this on a train sat a table with two perfectly nice random men who now think I am a loon because i am actually literally crying with laughter. (And I'm only up to p8).

AmIthatbloodycold · 04/08/2017 10:01

I wish my two were still babies. Then I could invent the phrase shitey cuddles.

SaltLiquorice · 04/08/2017 10:17

The word "loon". Dreadful.

SaltLiquorice · 04/08/2017 10:21

"Bae" Can't bear that one.

itsmehi · 04/08/2017 10:52

I still don't totally understand the boob to sleep thing. I get the replacing the word breastfeeding. But what does boob to sleep mean? Like it sounds like a command I just don't understand. "You are boob to sleep" "he is boob to sleep" "I was boob to sleep" "come in officer boob to sleep" and I agree. Can't think of a situation where it's necessary to include the fact that a baby is getting its milk from the breast to sleep. Surely the point is that the baby is eating to sleep?

BasketOfDeplorables · 04/08/2017 11:35

For me the point was that I was being eaten alive, so none of the 'milky cuddles' stuff seemed appropriate.

Mynewballoon · 04/08/2017 11:50

Lil man! What the fuck is wrong with saying little?!

Milky cuddles, equally horrendous!

mumoseven · 04/08/2017 12:14

Any fucking emojis. Hate them.

NerrSnerr · 04/08/2017 12:15

Why say boob to sleep when you can say feed to sleep? I feed my baby to sleep, he is breastfed so I guess I could say breastfeed to sleep but I don't know why the breast bit would be so important. What's a milky cuddle? Is it just cuddling while feeding? Why the need for the milky bit?

It all sounds terribly smug and 'look at me I'm breastfeeding'. I say that as someone who has spent the best part of the last 3 years breastfeeding my children.

nina2b · 04/08/2017 13:59

Ickle

nina2b · 04/08/2017 14:00

nina2b · 04/08/2017 14:00

Meh is pathetic.

Skinnies

LazySusan11 · 04/08/2017 15:56

Yes to cheeky

"Just having a cheeky glass of wine with this one"

Smashing it as in I'm in the gym smashing it or I smashed it in the gym or any sort of motivational gee up in sport that requires dickheads to scream "Come on let's smash it!" Piss off!!!

BeyondThePage · 04/08/2017 16:20

Oh, I like Meh...

It is the best passive aggressive response to people who will not back the hell off with telling me that X is sooooo good, you have to try it/watch it/travel there etc.

tearsinmyeyes · 05/08/2017 09:29

I don't use boob to sleep because I am being smug . I actually bloody hate boobing to sleep . I use boob to sleep because he isn't actually feeding . He is 18 months old , has teeth, and has just devoured a three course meal . He is sort of comfort sucking and teething on me as he nods of . If dh calls and I don't answer I might text 'he's on the boob'. No am not feeding him. Boob to sleep just sort of sums up what he's doing when it's not just feeding . I don't know what's smug about it . I actually don't enjoy it but it's the only thing that gets him down .

KinkyAfro · 05/08/2017 09:52

Mine doesn't sound too bad compared to these but i hate "to die for". Recently my mum has started saying this when she's telling me about something she's eaten. I cant explain why it irritates so much, it just does....especially when she elongates the dieeeeeeeeee

ticketytock1 · 05/08/2017 09:59

Ah fuck this shite makes my teeth itch and makes me want to kill the bastard who spouts it. FUCK OFF!

With the greater of respect - there's another one - can you stop with the boob to sleep stuff.

I'm enjoying this thread and I don't want to have to hide it Angry

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 05/08/2017 12:40

Agreed, boob to sleep is unecessary and rather vomit inducing Grin

EarlGreyT · 05/08/2017 12:46

I do say boobing though. I think it's cute

It's not cute, it's awful. It might be cute (but a bit weird) if said by a toddler, but said by an adult it's many things none of which are either good or cute.

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 05/08/2017 12:46

Someone going out for a cheeky glass of wine or a cheeky pint

Makes me die a little.

Grilledaubergines · 05/08/2017 12:52

Pussy Hound? Confused

Are you talking about a particularly ferocious, growling cat? It's a new one on me!
