"Feeling blessed".

NotSureYet · 02/08/2017 12:01

YANBU!
Hate it. Fuck off. You're not blessed. You're happy. Shut up!

PreparingToBeAMummy · 02/08/2017 12:02

"Boob to sleep" is much worse!

MorrisZapp · 02/08/2017 12:03

Another recent convert to 'boob to sleep' as worst expression ever.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 02/08/2017 12:06

Horrible - only acceptable if the person using the phrase is religious!

thismeansnothing · 02/08/2017 12:06

making memories. Usually with a hashtag for good measure before hand.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 02/08/2017 12:06

Feeling blessed - well lucky old you. Must be why I'm not blessed 'cause you got my blessing.

The halo over your head because you're feeling blessed is so bright I'm squinting and my eyes are hurting. Hang on I'll just put my sunglasses on. You won't mind will you ? Y'know, what with you feeling so bless and all.

Agree with PP. You're not, you're just feeling happy. But you've upgraded to blessed. Yup, that about sums it up. Well as long as social media knows, that's all that matters, right. Would you say, 'feeling blessed' out loud ? Yeah, you would. You're that sort of person.

ShowOfHands · 02/08/2017 12:07

"We had spag bol and jacket pots for lunch so we're just grabbing picky bits for tea".

Worst. Sentence. Ever.

tessiebear4 · 02/08/2017 12:08

Yes, picky tea is quite annoying as well. Particularly if you're feeling blessed while you eat it. Grin

Making memories is so fake. You make memories sure enough. Not always the right ones !

But to go out intentionally to, 'make memories' is for people who live on social media. Ugh.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 02/08/2017 12:11

'Picky tea' instantly makes me lose my appetite. Urgh. Picky. It's like picking a scab.

ScarletForYa · 02/08/2017 12:11

Social media bullshit bingo!

thismeansnothing · 02/08/2017 12:11

Exactly that....and just cos you think your making them the little darlings your with and feeling ever so blessed with may not necessarily remember them. So nerrrrrrrrr

vanillacandllle · 02/08/2017 12:14

YANBU! Especially when people are 'feeling blessed' over ridiculously normal every day things.

I also despise silly twee phrases relating to breastfeeding.

Boobing
Loves the boob
Booby monster
Boob to sleep
Milky cuddles
On the boob

Piss off! You are feeding/comforting your baby. Stop making it all sound so childish Angry it's a perfectly normal thing to do, there's just no need for the silly phrases.

MaidOfStars · 02/08/2017 12:14

Oh I like a 'picky dinner' (or 'picky bits' if in the pub etc). It indicates the random assortment of shit left in the fridge that isn't quite coherent enough to label 'tapas' Grin

CoughLaughFart · 02/08/2017 12:16

What the hell does 'boob to sleep' mean?!

Talking of sleep though, 'only four sleeps until...' makes me want to throw bricks. Do people think measuring time in 'sleeps' makes them a bit quirky and fun? Wrong - it makes them sound simple and unbearably irritating.

BasketOfDeplorables · 02/08/2017 12:18

I vote for 'picky bits' - sounds so unappetising. Nothing wrong with the actual food, but calling it that would put me right off.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 02/08/2017 12:18

Yup - I agree with ThisMeansNothing.

I will PMSL when the parent in question remarks do you remember when......
And just gets blank looks. Tee Hee.

I hope said children reply with what they do remember i.e. that row you had with aunty.

Or not being able to go there/where because you didn't want to. So memories were made of resentfully going to destination of YOUR choice to pretend to enjoy because at that age it was just easier than getting told off.

vanillacandllle · 02/08/2017 12:19

Boob to sleep I assume means feeding your baby to sleep.

Perfectly normal, part of every day life with a baby.

But some people feel the need to emphasise that they are breastfeeding by using silly phrases I suppose!

ShowOfHands · 02/08/2017 12:21

Picky dinner/Picky bits is awful. As said, it conjures images of scabs. Picky is predominantly a negative term anyway, usually denoting fussiness or high maintenance. Chuck in scabs and people uttering it makes me feel faintly repulsed.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 02/08/2017 12:22

Oh I like a 'picky dinner' (or 'picky bits' if in the pub etc). It indicates the random assortment of shit left in the fridge that isn't quite coherent enough to label 'tapas'

I'm in love !

Wondermoomin · 02/08/2017 12:25

There's a big overlap between people who are #feelingblessed and those who are #makingmemories. They really make me want to tell them to #fuckoff 😂

PairOfMarigolds · 02/08/2017 12:26

'Can I do...(the tuna sandwich)' pisses me off no end!! Angry

LadyOfTheCanyon · 02/08/2017 12:31

U Ok Hun?
L'il Bubz
Feeling Blessed. This emoji also gives me the rage: 🙏🏼
Making Memories
Pussy Hound
Boob Monster
We're just having Supper
Family Time
Can I get...?
Date Night.

I'm easily enraged.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 02/08/2017 12:32

wondermoomin Grin

TheClaws · 02/08/2017 12:33

'Each to their own'. Usually meaning the writer would do exactly the opposite and is very passive aggressive, I find.
