"Feeling blessed".

OP posts:
GameOldBirdz · 03/08/2017 10:45

I hate the phrase "working mother". Ugh, no. It makes it sound like you're in some way exceptional (not in a good way) as a worker (because you're a mother) and as a mother (because you work). Fuck off. When was the last time you heard "working father"?

I also hate "A girl at work". Gah. Unless you're doing a paper round, if the person in question is old enough to work then she's a fucking woman not a girl.

SuzieQuatro · 03/08/2017 10:46

teawantu I see your fell pregnant and raise you we're pregnant. Unless it's a lesbian couple who are both pregnant at the same time then no, just no.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 03/08/2017 10:47

Judgey pants - assuming I'm allowed to say that on MN.

Proud Momma
Little One

Vom.

Brahms3rdracket · 03/08/2017 11:06

Princess on board signs in cars. Or grandchild on board. I fucking hate those stupid signs. It doesn't make me want to ram into the back of their car any less, quite the contrary.

We're pregnant - fuck right off unless your vomiting every day too.

affectionincoldclimate · 03/08/2017 11:09

Fam. Or even worse, if that's possible: famalam

FFS!

Hygge · 03/08/2017 11:21

I don't like "needs gone" or "needs done" or anything else along those lines.

For example a friend who was selling something said "This needs gone asap because I'm having a new one delivered" and she will also say things like "this needs done urgently" about any important task she has to do.

I don't like seeing the word disgusted written as "discusted" or the word chick written as "chic".

Feeling "anything.com" is also annoying. It's not annoying.com, just annoying.

GameOldBirdz · 03/08/2017 12:05

One of my friends has just posted this drivel on FB: "'If I knew then what I know now I'd still do it all over again' I'm so blessed with these beautiful boys 💙💙 #forevergrateful"

Hapaxlegomenon · 03/08/2017 12:06

pieceofmich I had such a horrible flashback reading that, an ex boyfriend from a long time ago used to ask if I was on the blob if I got annoyed. [Shudder]

coldcanary · 03/08/2017 12:06

'Fixed that for you' when referring to and changing someone else's post.
No you arrogant arse, I meant what I typed the first time!

otterlynutty · 03/08/2017 12:12

This one Hmm

SpottedGingham · 03/08/2017 12:18

Put in your PIN number Hmm

We're pregnant

We're having a roast and all the trimmings

Sanpro

"She's got problems down there" usually stage whispered while pointing at their stomach

ImperfectTents · 03/08/2017 12:41

' boils my piss' possible the most vulgar expression in the world (and I am quite vulgar)

BasketOfDeplorables · 03/08/2017 13:10

Yes! What are all those trimmings, Gingham? Did they think I'd assume they were just having some roast meat and nothing else?

PurpleTraitor · 03/08/2017 13:50

I saw someone announce that their baby had a 'loose bum' on FB last week

#overshare #feelingdisgusted #makingmevomit

StormyLovesOdd · 03/08/2017 13:54

I'm humbled gives me the rage - I have a facebook "friend" who uses it all the time.

Housewife2010 · 03/08/2017 14:12

Moist gusset

bbcessex · 03/08/2017 14:38

Agree that picky bits makes me want to stab said speaker through their picky eye.

I also think that supper, as in 'do come round for supper'. if not spoken by Nanny Mcphee or landed gentry, makes the utterer a pretentious twat.

Don't get me started on 'picky' and Kirsty Alsopp.. arghhhhhh 😱😱😱😱😱

bbcessex · 03/08/2017 14:39

Also saw the phrase 'calm your tits' on here recently...

Poster goes straight to the top of the 'common as muck' pile....

ShotsFired · 03/08/2017 14:46

@SpottedGingham oh god yes to "sanpro". NOBODY ACTUALLY TALKS LIKE THAT!

BasketOfDeplorables · 03/08/2017 15:07

I like sanpro - it sounds like it was invented by a soviet committee.

Dawnedlightly · 03/08/2017 15:22

I like calm your tits.
Although these alternatives are good, too.

BasketOfDeplorables · 03/08/2017 15:31

All excellent choices, Dawn.

tink86 · 03/08/2017 15:39

I hate it when people say things like "good times had by all" urgh. How about I had a great time?!
