Hi guys! Wow I've just had a chance to come back on and noticed the last thread is full already?!

There also seems to be loads of people saying they're over it and don't believe me. That's fine, I'm not going to get into an argument with anyone. I had no idea that I would get so many responses when I initially asked for advice on this situation, however, they have really cheered me up through what has been a really crappy few days at points. Thanks all.

Sorry if ive pissed people off.

Anyway my Grandma has landed at the airport and should be with me in a couple of hours. It's not even that far away (she likes to take her time) Grin

Sutherland doesn't yet have its own flag Sad (we're working on it!), so since I'm only 10 miles from the Caithness border, I'll borrow theirs.

Take comfort from the fact that there's no way a mortgage woulde approved as the search would surely show up the planning office involvement.

How would the lenders know about it though? Does the council have to tell the land registry that there's some chicanery going on?

If it doesn't show up on searches and the CFNs don't disclose it at the enquiry stage, I'm not sure how it would come to light. These days a lot of people only have a valuation survey done, and a couple of friends who have sold in the last year or so haven't had a bank/building society surveyor near the place. They reckon they do their "valuation" by checking out sold prices online!

I can't remember faith but it doesn't work anyway unless your name is spelled fully and correctly so you wouldn't get any of (the many!) @faith ones.

@TheMaddHugger you're spoiling me now! GrinGrin

@faithinthesound is this what you mean sweetie ?

put a @ then immediately put the name of the poster

Vango · 02/08/2017 07:35

As far as I know Lakie buying a listed property is more complicated.

youarenotkiddingme · 02/08/2017 07:39

Wooooahhhh - that's an update and a half!
So you think CFNs might be trying to sell the property?
Well access to a garden would certainly increase the price! ShockHmm

meercat23 · 02/08/2017 07:42

Another infrequent poster here. Just had to pop on to say that this is the most amazing thread. The CFNerishness to start with is astonishing. The songs and other cultural contributions are amazing, I am in awe of the creativity on here. The breakfasts and other recipes have me drooling and the pets are without exception beautiful. As for Trello, words fail me but I may never work in their same way again.

To those who are saying leave out the creativity and just stick to event related to the OP's topic I would say that I much prefer the creative stuff to the endless bookmarks that appear on other threads, if I dont have time to read all contributions I can skim from OP post to OP post.

Most of all I love the way that, while this thread has become funny and creative, no-one is underestimating the levels of stress the real life situation is causing the OP. My two pennorth for what it is worth is that it might be worth investing in one of those clever door handle padlocks someone showed earlier. If I remember it was quite expensive but would give total peace of mind about access to the garden while you are not around without the worry of whether it would cause any damage.

Keep up the good work all you regular posters and Wattyy keep your chin up. It may take a while but they wont get away with it,

LakieLady · 02/08/2017 07:44

Watt could it be that the young couple viewed it when it was up for sale the last time? It was then sold to CFN and YC have come back to the area to see if anything else is available?

My thoughts exactly. CFNs may have just completed on the purchase and are having work done before moving in. I'd do a zoopla search for sold prices and see when it last changed hands. Mind you, zoopla take a while to get properties on there, so nothing can be inferred by its absence!

I have a feeling in my water that CFNs have bought recently and are having the work done before moving in/selling on/renting out.

thenaughtyone · 02/08/2017 07:45

Good morning from Nottingham! Have a great day today everyone and Watty- go kick some ass! Here is our flag. P.S. Yorkshire tea is definitely the best tea.

Can you put a sign up in your front garden saying dispute ongoing, planning involved or something?

KoalasAteMyHomework · 02/08/2017 07:47

I'm slightly disappointed the Yorkshire flag doesn't have tea on it thenaughtyone

mumof3boys33 · 02/08/2017 07:47

It does take at least 6 weeks to show on zoopla. Or it did recently when I was being nosy at how much a relative sold their house/bought new for.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 02/08/2017 07:53

Posters telling the OP to check land registry...... I had reason to do that a few years ago.....all I could get was the details of the freeholders (a company which I already knew all about) what I WANTED/NEEDED was the name of the leaseholder (who was then renting the property out). I just couldn't find the information. I even spoke to the tenant but they had been told not to tell anyone (I guess the leaseholder knew I suspected them).

So unless CFN are the freeholders, a land registry search won't really help identify Barry and Julie.

MyOtherProfile · 02/08/2017 07:53

I think it takes til after the first of the next month to show sold prices on Zoopla but for sale goes up really quickly.

An owner - any owner - is bound to show up at some point. If I were *wattyyyy I wouldn't waste too much energy trying to track them down at this point. The letters will be piling up on the mat and the work will need to be undone. She won't want to confront anyone directly anyway. I agree with a note sellotaped to the outside of the glass door but hasn't she done that already anyway? Also agree that the doors should be secured with cable ties to prevent the builders accessing her garden without her permission.

Bewitched - I wouldn't even bother to be honest

If you criticise the songs, flags etc you get slated for it

If you do ask a question or make a comment then again you are slated for it.

And if you mention high jacking then you are completely shot down and told OP doesn't mind, (although she is hardly going to argue with them all and is probably getting bord herself )

Just skim ,
