Why are single sex spaces important to you as a female?

When transactivists liken racial inequality to this issue, they paint themselves as the minority the oppressed. They are the black people in this scenario.

You want to keep out men?
Remember when you kept out black people?

Unless you can somehow believe that transwomen are actually women, pushing for inclusion in women's spaces, then none of this makes sense.

Transactivists are very powerful, usually well educated, middle-class, white men. Yet they claim they are not only more oppressed than women, they are more oppressed than black women. I've seen them argue this exact point, many times.

For the public playing out of this scenario, see Chiminanda Adachie.

I find it incomprehensible that women are saying that women should not have single sex spaces because it's discriminatory to their lovely son etc

The fact that my husband is the most lovely person that you could meet does not alter the fact there are predatory men out there. His presence or the presence of other lovely, honourable men in the world did not stop me being sexually assaulted or other women being raped.

Fuck sake, please think about this properly and campaign to protect safe spaces for women

and btw, I also have lovely sons

Transwomen cite male on (trans)male violence as a reason why they need access to womens spaces
Transwomen call females who cite male on female violence as a reason to say no "hysterical"

Which is it? you can't claim that men are dangerous to you then mock women for saying similar?

It means safety to me

A feeling of being safe and comfortable

I've just been going through all your posts and I'd like to thank you all especially those of you that have shared your experiences of living as a survivor of male violence.

I had to use a unisex toilet last night. It had full length doors. I felt hideously uncomfortable not knowing if there was a man or a woman in the next cubicle. Like sick to my stomach. It's so scary Sad
