Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

You have to talk to them! How could you not?

OP don't get caught up in the thread excitement and do anything risky. Your safety and wellbeing are more important than providing updates!

I think you're very sensible not to engage unless they approach you. You're in the right and it WILL get sorted so you don't need to contact them.

I wonder if it's the builders that have come back hoping to clear up while OP was at work..

On a serious note ring planning. Whether it's CFN or the builders the planners wanted a word with them so let them months idiots have arrived.

It might be neither... blackbirds are quite loud and make a surprising amount of noise 🤞
