CFN patio doors onto my private garden thread #3

Wattyyyy · 28/07/2017 12:22

Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

Sorry all the threads have different titles Confused

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me Grin )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

Agree. I would leave it to planning dept, unless they go into the garden...

YouTheCat · 28/07/2017 14:30

Do you need to let the planning people know that someone's home?

BitOutOfPractice · 28/07/2017 14:30

If they use the doors you can have then arrested for trespassing

Of course she can't. Trespass is a civil not criminal offence.

Greyponcho · 28/07/2017 14:30

The productivity of the nation has nosedived thanks to these CFNs...
Wonder if the big bang noise was Barry crumpling into a terrified sobbing mess at the realisation of the amount of legal shit they've just got themselves into..?

Colinfarrellsarse · 28/07/2017 14:30

Eeeekkk!!!!@

eubyru · 28/07/2017 14:30

I hope they come home later

Steeley113 · 28/07/2017 14:31

Have you contacted the people who came this morning and let them know they're back?

HunterHearstHelmsley · 28/07/2017 14:31

Oh my God.

soupforbrains · 28/07/2017 14:32

Ah! now we know what they wanted the garden for! To keep their giant black birds in! Grin

More seriously though Watttyy curl up on your sofa, put something relaxing on the telly and get yourself a cuppa. You are 100% in the right, have made all the correct steps in the process and as someone else said if they set foot in your garden you are within your rights to call the police. Also if they even get verbally agressive and you don't feel comfortable you can also call the police.

we are all in your corner here, so please keep us in the loop because we need entertainment so you have nothing to fear from Sheila and Barry.

p.s. Spookle I love you and your diagram

CryingShame · 28/07/2017 14:32

eubyru, it seems they are home.

OP, any sounds of wracking sobs from beyond the wall as yet?

festivefucker · 28/07/2017 14:32

Long time lurker but compelled to post🙀
Op you need to go next door to nndn if your alarmed , get him to check for you or go with you for back up!!

rizlett · 28/07/2017 14:33

Is there a Lightening Removals lorry at their front door op?

[We can move you out of all illegal situations in a flash?]

DumbledoresApprentice · 28/07/2017 14:33

Be brave OP. Go and have a peek. It's your garden after all, you're entitled to look and see why there are people in your private garden. By not speaking to them it looks as if it's normal and unremarkable for them to be moving stuff around on your property.

Catlady45 · 28/07/2017 14:34

been watching this for 3 thread... sorry your going through this OP but exciting stuff :)

WeyHay · 28/07/2017 14:34

Actually, if the rain lashing down here is doing it where you are Wattyy then I can understand that you don't want to sit in the garden. But if it were me, as soon as the sun comes out, I'd be there on my deck chair!

Sparkletastic · 28/07/2017 14:34

This thread is working a treat as an antidote to my 'last day of holiday' depression Grin

Msqueen33 · 28/07/2017 14:34

I'd have a check out front and see if dodgy builder van is back

ItsNachoCheese · 28/07/2017 14:34

Placemarking to read after my nap

ItWentInMyEye · 28/07/2017 14:34

I'm more excited about this than when I had the kids StarStarStar

Neverknowing · 28/07/2017 14:35

It's so sad you're scared in your own home op. Defo enlist the help of NNDN if you need back up or call 101 if they're out in your garden, I doubt they'd be arrested but if you feel unsafe to talk to them alone they might offer you some help?

therealladygrantham · 28/07/2017 14:35

This is brilliant to read, and entertaining for all of us, but it's your real life so take care and as others have said don't engage too much with them, just say that it's all in the hands of the planners due to the listed status of the building. I'm out now til late tonight...what's the first thing I'll do when I get in....??

LurkingHusband · 28/07/2017 14:35

Have you contacted your insurers ? Just in case there are any implications for the fabric of your building ?

festivefucker · 28/07/2017 14:36

Op ...are you there? Are u ok?
Don't be afraid to phone police if your scared. Xx

Dailystuck71 · 28/07/2017 14:38

Hope you are ok OP. Remember you've done nothing wrong. Don't let them bully or intimidate you.

MipMipMip · 28/07/2017 14:38

Nono no! It's Barry and FREDA! Grin
