Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

Spookle you genius!

Op while I'm here - I'd have a word with the planning person when they come. Maybe they have some advice. Personally I'm thinking you should get some legal advice...as someone as said their fuckwit actions have directly impacted on your property. But see what the planning bod says Brew

Cookiesandcake · 28/07/2017 07:42

Have cfn come back yet op?

GizzyTiedToATree · 28/07/2017 07:43

I am considering cancelling my holiday (we are leaving tomorrow for a place without internet) so that I can keep up with this thread.

Spookle - brilliant, thank you.

OP thinking of you today, hope all goes well with the Council. Hopefully this is the beginning of getting this sorted out for you.

ireallydontlikefootball · 28/07/2017 07:44

@Spookle love the diagram Star

JustGettingStarted · 28/07/2017 07:50

How do we find the bookmark again?

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 28/07/2017 07:50

I don't usually work Fridays. I have to work today. AIBU to call in sick? Grin

JustGettingStarted · 28/07/2017 07:50

SparklyMagpie · 28/07/2017 07:51

Today's the day !!!

Good luck OP!

Fiestylittleowl · 28/07/2017 07:53

The suspense!!! I would go nuts if this was me!

MissFitton · 28/07/2017 07:57

Spookle - excellent work

Good luck today Wattyyyy hope the planning officer can get the ball rolling to reinstate their window. In the meantime cable ties and a beautifully written sign saying "Private garden, no access" stuck facing in to their flat.

FlibbertigibbetArmadillo · 28/07/2017 07:59

I have a long train journey today so hoping for updates to get me through. Best of luck op

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 08:02

@Spookle MARVELLOUS diagram. StarStarStar

Wattyyyy · 28/07/2017 08:02

Haha spookle that diagram is amazing! Star

I'm just making some breakfast and waiting on the planning people. I've had a look outside and CFN do not seem to have returned at all last night.

So they either weren't planning on staying last night or have scarpered. They haven't even seen their new door yet! Wink

Morning, hope you have a good one.

cathyandclare · 28/07/2017 08:04

If they've renovated internally also, which you've suggested they have, then inform the planning officer as if the building is listed EVERYTHING needs to be cleared with planners, down to paint type and colour, tiles, flooring etc

Oh god I'm having palpitations about being slung in prison after reading this thread. We live in a 2* listed building and we've done a ton of painting and redecorating. We've had LB permission for knocking walls down/converting cellars etc but not for the rest of it. And our front door is F&B railings now and was a shiny green when we got here. I think an email to the conservation officer may be needed...

We're joined to next door by a blocked up tunnel, damn tempted to knock through so we can enjoy her ballroom!!!

GutterStar · 28/07/2017 08:06

Good morning, OP. I'm glad to hear nothing unpleasant happened last night. I wonder where the CFNs are, though?
Do you know what time the planning person is likely to come?

GeekyWombat · 28/07/2017 08:13

Good luck for today OP. I have to say you've been a lot calmer than I would have been in this situation - I think I'd be beside myself! Hopefully this will set you in good stead with the planning officer when they come round as you'll come across as rational and sensible rather than me who would have been gnashing teeth, flailing arms and bellowing about my barbecue like a female Basil Fawlty

laura1206 · 28/07/2017 08:13

This is better than workzilla!

SilverBirchTree · 28/07/2017 08:16

Cannot wait Wine

00100001 · 28/07/2017 08:17

This had better not turn out to be like the Victorian Safe! Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/07/2017 08:17

CathyandClare - I don't think there is a problem with internal paint, although the planning people dictated what could and couldn't be used externally for our place.

hiddenmnetter · 28/07/2017 08:18

I believe that an enlargement in a window is a notifiable work because the DS needs to confirm that the new lintel will support the weight above. Which means you could also call building control...

diddl · 28/07/2017 08:20

No planning people yet??

Come on, it's past 8Grin
