First rate diagram, OP.

Dashper · 27/07/2017 18:21

Sorry, I haven't rtf but get your lease out. Theirs should be the same save for property-specific stuff. Look for "Tenants Covenants/Obligations". Most leases will have one saying no alterations without the landlord's consent. Then report them to your landlord/managing agent ASAP.
And show them your lease plan. There will be edging (generally red but not always) showing what you own.

Moanyoldcow · 27/07/2017 18:22

newdaddie are you taking the piss?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/07/2017 18:22

It's an enclosed garden? So it won't be for a fire escape, as PP suggested.

Timefortea99 · 27/07/2017 18:23

Really sorry you have this unnecessary upset and upheaval. Hope it is just a mistake and it is resolved amicably. Fingers crossed for you.

CuriosityDoor · 27/07/2017 18:24

Have you met these neighbours before?? Are their necks made of brass??

peonyinparadise · 27/07/2017 18:26

I lived with a batshit neighbour & this is triggering memories of our lawn war.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2017 18:26

Apologies if this has been suggested - they may feel that they need another way out of the building in the even of a fire.

(Bet that isn't the real reason, though . . .)

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 18:27

haudyer I know I was waiting on someone saying that! I wish it wasn't, I can hardly believe it either. How they are going to explain it I don't know.

I have attached an updated diagram Grin the black circles are my door and the new door, where the window was. It's obviously not to scale or anything, the flats are actually a similar size but I've done my best with my limited skillls.
This is keeping my mind off them returning!

Yes agent similar kind of window - thanks I've been trying to find a picture.

WTF is up with entitled neighbours, between this thread & the cheeky bastards parking on another OP's path!

Nobody seems to give a shit anymore. Hope it's sorted soon OP.

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 18:28

ok so sadly you cant get the fence in.. stakes a few inches in and hazard tape in front of the door then.. its no barrier but its a statement of the boundary..

Ylvamoon · 27/07/2017 18:29

babybubblescomingsoon · 27/07/2017 18:29

Oh my lord that is cheeky. I don't know how you're considering NOT going over op! Gin

kazillionaire · 27/07/2017 18:30

placemarking, , I am fascinated to see how they explain this

JigglyTuff · 27/07/2017 18:30

Bloody hell. They sound utterly thick

Smilingthru · 27/07/2017 18:30

Placemarking! Grin

gingergenius · 27/07/2017 18:30

@Wattyyyy excellent diagram!

picklemepopcorn · 27/07/2017 18:31

I think you need to hold a noisy party in YOUR garden. Maybe look in through their new door, or sit on a bench leaning up against it.

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 18:31

or better still 6ft stakes and tarpaulin right to the top .. use the green mesh sort then they cant say you are depriving them of light and it wont look so bad..

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2017 18:31

My phone won't let me attach a picture of said gnomes but they are three feet tall and you can acquire an entire family

We were shopping in Asda yesterday and saw them.

They are as ugly as Hell!

I made DH promise that if I ever bought one he was to have me committed to an asylum immediately, for my own safety.

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 18:34

like this stuff Greenhouse shading You can get it in B&Q cheaper

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 27/07/2017 18:34

Wattyyyy OP please don't think I disbelieve, I just can't believe how thick these people must be. I mean ya hat so far fetched that it's just.... I actually don't have a word to describe this situation Confused Shock

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 27/07/2017 18:35

or better still 6ft stakes and tarpaulin right to the top

I read that as 6ft snakes! I'll leave that with you OP as another option..... Wink

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 18:35

obviously only until they get it fixed..

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 18:35
