She wants to call it Pasta Best. To me it sounds like her products are passed their best. Should I tell her before it is too late and she has started trading?

Not sure about "Cull" or "Sack" for a temp agency type business! Grin

Oh, I get it. Pass The Best. Like, pass good people on.

MumBod I'm afraid it's nothing that clever. I've spoken with her today, and she said she saw a business of this name abroad years ago and really liked it. I don't think she gets that the business she saw probably sold pasta. I'm not sure what else I can say to her, without her being offended.

When is she's launching her business OP? Maybe it's better coming from someone else? Someone who doesn't have the same loyalties as a friend would have. Not sure who that would be though

Imbeingunreasonable Hi, I'm not sure but it'll be fairly soon. She's seeing her accountant tomorrow.

She could call it Spare Parts?

Spare Parts sounds like staff from there would just stand about uselessly. Grin

If she wants to use 'Best' then Only the Best might be good if a bit cheesy but I like it

Simply the Best

OP you could always suggest that if people were to google her company it may not come up in the 'top hits' with using Pasta Best. But people looking for Pasta dishes/ sauces and the like may end up being directed wrongly to her website?

B&Q used an excellent strategy. The bought the domain name for //www.diy.com. Now whenever anyone googles "DIY" B&Q is always the top hit! Genius!! OP - your friend needs to take note.

A local pet grooming service is called Doggy Style. I never use them in case my neighbors think I'm into swinging Grin
