She's now saying that she and DH slept together a month ago- June 8th, to be exact!

I suppose this is an update thread, really. I am once agsin pissing myself at her antics.

I'm NOT laughing at infidelity- I've have a little bit of experience of this (first gf cheated on me, etc). I'm laughing because it's absolute bs! Not only do I have 100% trust in DH, but she plucked out of thin air the date that he took off work last month, to mainline the new season of OITNB!

But OMG, the details- she could write Mills and Boon!

(In case anyone is wondering, I forgot to block her from the email I use for work).

Jingleboom - you need to read all the threads. It is completely anonymous. However Shagzilla is actually contacting real people that know OP. You probably need to step awsy from the internet!

Er, you might want to check again re: how you choose to define bullying. There is no legal definition of what constitutes bullying, but the (Cambridge) Dictionary definition is: to hurt or frighten someone who is smaller or less powerful than you, often forcing that person to do something they do not want to do - which I certainly don't think is applicable here.

This doesn't fall under the category of cyberbullying because the people involved are anonymous. As regards the issue of veracity, we have no reason to suppose that what we are being told is untrue any more than we do anything else on MN - & if it is a fiction one would assume the person in question didn't exist rather than her actions were being fabricated.

However, the individual in question HAS chosen to engage in cyberbullying of the OP with her email to their mutual friends revealing private information about the OP she hoped would be damaging/slanting it to discourage them from continuing their friendships; and her sending of materials intended to cause distress to the OP.

@Jingleboom - bullying is, by its very definition done TO someone - the victim of the bullying has to be directly affected by the actions of the bullies. They need to be aware of what is being done to them/said about them. Unless The OP's so-called 'friend' has read these threads, she is completely unaware of their content, so is utterly unaffected by them - therefore there is no bullying going on.

And I am utterly shocked by the fact that you see NOTHING wrong in what the 'friend' has done. Nothing wrong in her attempting to ruin the OP's reputation or break up her marriage by lying to their friends and saying the OP's husband has slept with her! How can you possibly condone those actions? Even if you do not agree with the sentiments expressed on these threads, you do know that it is possible to condemn the 'friend's' actions whilst at the same time saying you don't like the way this thread has gone, don't you? Or maybe not.
