To think sex on holiday is another thing to worry about.

According to the Times today, 74% of couples have sex every other day on holiday, and 50% 10 times in a seven day holiday.

There's something else to worry about ;)

I guess they can't all be staying in static caravans with in-laws though..

Ha, these will be couples who at least have their own bedroom then, not crappy pull out pleather beds and children with hearing like nosy hawks.

We managed an interrupted once last time...

We definitely have more sex when on holiday but we've never stayed in a caravan or tent though.....

Well I can honestly say we won't be matching those statistics when we are on holiday next month sharing a one bedroomed apartment with two kids and a teen (still don't know how we are all coming to fit in but will worry about that when we get there Grin )

Even though we don't have kids at home most of the time the first thing we do on holiday is christen the bed. Sadly I don't think we have the stamina to get anywhere near the average any more though.

Must Try Harder.

Even when we had caravan holidays we always had separate rooms from the children (even if ours was a pull out in the living area). These days we rent cottages, gites or villas and I do know how to keep quiet so every day is the norm for us on holiday.

Pre kids twice a day. Post kids no way.

The last time we had a shag on holiday was a year and 5 months ago - a quickie in the bathroom while the 2dc were at the park with my parents - and we ended up with dc3! Not doing that again!!

We manage very gentle sex when kids are asleep when camping, or we find somewhere secluded outside when it gets dark.

Parents manage to have sex all over the world where sometimes 3 generations share a room!

We had sex at least 10 times in 7 days on a pre children holiday (just the one holiday, it was memorable for that reason), post DC it is often zero times, as we have a child in the same room or even in the bed with us.

We used to utilise bribery in the last couple of years they came with us

Send the kids off with a couple of euros each for the internet/table tennis/arcade or whatever with strict instructions to not come back within the hour unless someone's leg was hanging off

Sounds true enough for me (well not 10/7) but pretty much every day- something more relaxing about being on holiday no cares etc.

Disclaimer never holidayed with kids. Ds due in September. It may all be different....

My DH refuses to go on holiday without 2 bedrooms for longer than 2 days. It's mainly so we can put the kids to bed and hang out in the lounge with a bottle of wine instead of going to bed at 9.30. It does have the side effect of increased sex. Not 10 times in 7 days though!
