To expect her to change the sheets?

Just that really.

Went to stay with friends (it'd been arranged a month beforehand so wasn't springing it on them) and went I got in to bed I found a pair of bed socks between the sheets so bed clearly hadn't been changed since someone had slept in it.

Dh is all, 'whatever, I don't know why you bother changing our sheets every time someone stays a night.'

I'm not pissing blood or speechless with rage, more a little 'yuk, not great manners.'

Does everyone else change sheets when someone's stayed at their house or am I ott in doing this?

We let a room through Airbnb. Bedding and towels are fresh and clean for every new guest.
Had a lass on Friday who changed her mind about staying about an hour after she arrived. The bedding was still washed even though I was fairly certain the bed had only been sat on.

(She arrived with a friend in tow and announced that he would be sleeping on the floor. We said that wasn't allowed.
After she'd been here twenty minutes or so she asked if he could stay in the room and she went elsewhere. We declined that suggestion. She was verified through Airbnb. We had no clue who he was.
So after they'd talked some more and at least one of them used the loo, she said they'd both go elsewhere.
So in our eyes the room and bed we're used and so I washed the bedding.
And now after typing all this out, I'm going to change the towel too)!

I always change the sheets if we have a guest to stay. I wouldn't expect them to stay in someone else's sheets. I might leave them on if it was the same guest coming back.

One of Dh's relatives takes her own sheets when she goes to stay with her daughter as she says it makes less work for someone working full-time!

I'm always going over my sofa with anti bac wipes, and the hoover and steamer. If anyone's ever slept on the sofa it's had a bedsheet on it

I would always change the bedsheets if a guest was coming to stay, anything else is gross.

I remember, very soon after DH and I got married we had his DM and DH to stay for a weekend and my MIL brought clean bedding with her, as she always used to do when he was single. I guess I should have been grateful but I'd spent time putting clean bedding on the bed ready for them, and I was actually quite offended!

I will no longer sleep at PILs for this very reason. We used to regularly find tissues under the pillow etc, but the final straw was the condom wrapper. Yuck yuck yuck.

It was adding insult to injury that MIL moaned when she stayed at ours that I hadn't ironed the bedding ffs. Apparently she only likes sleeping in ironed bedding. I somehow managed to bite my tongue.

Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't have slept in the bed.
