Continuation of the discussion.

It looks highly unlikely that there will be a verdict today as GOSH have not yet been able to put their case across. The Gard family had their position heard this morning and currently an expert witness from the US is being questioned via video link.

Gosh, I hope there's relief for this case soon. It's got to stop somewhere.

rabbitnothare · 13/07/2017 17:34

I cannot believe the backtracking on the CA page, hope that screenshots were taken before now.

Absolute turncoats now praising the wonderful staff.

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 17:34

Charlie's mother Connie Yates left the court sobbing, comforted by family and friends. #CharlieGard

HouseOfMouse · 13/07/2017 17:34

I should imagine the idiots over on CA are definitely worried, hence the nervous backtracking some of them are now doing about how marvellous GOSH is.
Of course, there are others saying that this is a distraction tactic used by GOSH as they know they're losing the case!

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 17:35

I know that over the past few days, several of us have been reporting that group for 'credible threat of violence" to Facebook and the Met police, and contacted GOSH via Facebook to mention this. Yes there has been a lot of abuse about their lawyer too.

I wonder what the extent of abuse has been offline?

DorotheaBeale · 13/07/2017 17:35

Hang on a minute did the american expert (he, who shall not be named) just step down when judge said he is considering naming him public ally as he is already named publically in america?. Is that why they are having a break?

No, it just means he's finished giving evidence and they're discussing what to do next, I suppose whether to finish for the day or continue a bit longer. Whether the judge allows him to be named is a separate point.

11122aa · 13/07/2017 17:35

Probably been a fair bit of direct abuse.

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 17:36

Lots of CA comments were deleted yesterday and members blocked by FB, the CA members were mentioning it. Then they turned on the 'trolls' saying it was them who were abusive. Hmm

Kickhiminthenuts · 13/07/2017 17:36

Who gives a shit about the hospital doctors and staff we are here for charlie.

Yeah who gives a shit about the people who are currently keeping him and others alive Shock

Saucery · 13/07/2017 17:36

I've just had a reply for my 'credible threat of violence' report. Not a problem, FB says.

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 17:36

Doesn't bear thinking about. Bet most was anonymous as well, cowards.

Alfieisnoisy · 13/07/2017 17:37

Oh my goodness, I think those parents look terribly ill. Not surprising that Connie has left the court sobbing. If ever I've wanted to wave a magic wand it would be now. Sad

11122aa · 13/07/2017 17:37

I do still feel for the parents.

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 17:38

Did you Saucery? they didn't reply to me. But when checked last night Laura Gard had put a message up telling them not to be abusive and some were posting saying they had been blocked and their comments deleted. One said "and it wasn't violent to those on here"

rabbitnothare · 13/07/2017 17:39

FB rejected my report of violence too. It was a direct threat to the guardian of Charlie.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 13/07/2017 17:39

FB really are utter bellends for that saucery. The police may deal with it though even if FB don't.

DarthMaiden · 13/07/2017 17:40

One said "and it wasn't violent to those on here"

Words totally fail me....

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 17:40

Also contacted GOAH via FB and mentioned the threats online and the groups, and mentioned the Gina Miller Case and that Gina had contacted the police herself with the comments, they may well have done that. Not due to my message of course, but think they are probably well aware.

PortiaFinis · 13/07/2017 17:40

Rabbit it's disagreeing with calling a doctor a quack on the grounds of being against the anti-expert sentiment - which has been so discussed on the earlier threads.

It's not a ticking off and it's not headgirlish to raise an opinion, even if it does irritate you.

LovelyBath77 · 13/07/2017 17:41

GOSH I mean!

muckypup73 · 13/07/2017 17:41

LovelyBath77, yeh only because she would have been pre warned that the judge knew about it, not out the goodness of her heart.

rabbitnothare · 13/07/2017 17:41

Nobody should make threats toward anyone, not only is it morally wrong, horrible and illegal but becomes ammunition for use against the family, who have nothing to do with these comments. It is disgusting and could harm Charlie's case. If I see any threatening comments here I will be reporting them right away and encourage everyone else do the same.

It absolutely is to do with the family, Chris sister runs it and moderates it. Connie also posted underneath the comments on some threads (she was not joining in with the threats or abuse).

GabsAlot · 13/07/2017 17:41

how can th lawyrs agree what happens next they both want different things

smilingmind · 13/07/2017 17:42

Some of USCA seem to be changing their minds.
There is a thread on there saying things 'like why should this child get free treatment here if our children can't' and 'if he was in the US his treatment would have been stopped a long time ago as there is a cap on how long people can stay on a ventilator'.

muckypup73 · 13/07/2017 17:42

DarthMaiden, jokers arent they?only today they were talking about punching someones face in.
