So reporting did actually work. I noticed some comments agreeing with the need to 'not respond to the trolls' and one about 'trolls coming on ming and blinding' (hmm) etc so anyway at least maybe it will stop them with their horrible threats. I can't see as many of the threatening comments and posts so guess they may have been deleted by FB.

DarthMaiden, I wish I could, but either way his parents are going to lose, do not get me wrong, I have ranted and raved, But I have a feeling that tomrow maybe the end of it, I think Charlies army took it too far. And personally I think the judge will know that and anybody in their rightmind would end this asap, for the parents as well as charlie x

I just hope it ends peacefully, whatever happens, for the staff, the parents and the little boy. Fingers crossed.

Trump is doing an interview this evening with Pat Robinson - a staunch Pro lifer. Dont be surprised if charlie comes up.

I strongly suspect Laura Gard has been given some pretty robust advice about the stuff that's appeared on that page and that statement has been drafted for her, perhaps by the Gard legal team in response to the numerous threats of violence against GOSH staff and their legal team.

For tonight, I hope that little boy is peaceful and painfree. And that whatever happens tomorrow, he will remain so.

I have been posting from my bed for the last week. I have a very painful condition which is incurable but won't kill me anytime soon.
We have a DGS with SEN living with us so my poor DH has to do far too much.
Just had to make the difficult decision to opt out of a family holiday next week and was feeling a bit sorry for myself but the others on here who are so much worse off make me feel ashamed.
I have just come back refreshed after a long gardening conversation on messenger with one of my daughters and I want slow worms !
I am so lucky to have a wonderful family. One of my sons has even offered to stay with me while the others are away. I will be fine but may send him on emergency wine and chocolate runs. Who cares about the diet.
I am sure posting this is quite inappropriate and never meant to. If so please ignore it. I have never posted about it before.
Lonely will be thinking of you and your daughter tonight. Life can be shit sometimes but you meet it with grace.

OH and I were just chatting about how this case is like the perfect storm of almost every issue we regularly rant about to each other. You've got Gove-like dissing of "experts"; Trump/UKIP/far-right style political tendrils (NHS = socialism = bad!); the kind of mob-mentality that resulted in Brexit; issues concerned with disability rights, medical ethics and end of life care; religious nutters leading people to blind faith; and, millions of pounds in charitable giving where the beneficiary is but one white child from a relatively affluent background (when compared with the poorest children worldwide) who is already being cared for for free in one of the worlds best hospitals. This explains why I can't look away - it's everything I worry about, but usually I only fret about one of these things at a time.

Thank goodness for all your lovely people on this thread, because I'd be ranting at randoms in the street otherwise!

I'm getting increasingly angry about the impact on other families and specifically the financial pressures it puts on them.

I just don't understand the dangerous religious fundamentalists. If heaven is so wonderful, why not let Charlie get there sooner, surely any god would grant a free pass at the pearly gates? Why preserve existence on earth at all costs?

My exact thoughts. I read something earlier on the CA page, along the lines of 'the last thing that [the parents of Charlie] want is hate... I can't remember exactly but I was gobsmacked, on a page filled with vitriol and all sorts of threats towards the staff of GOSH...

I also cannot believe the people claiming to think that poor baby looks healthy. I hope that the right decision is made.

I have the same problem, Why are people in the UK so afraid to voice their TRUE opinions..where has freedom of speech gone I ask..? where as all my Italian and USA friends are more than happy to support Charlie, and they do, political correctness gone mad for sure

The irony of writing that on a page where anyone who posts anything other than a blue heart or complete agreement gets abuse and deleted.

It's taken me ages to catch up today. I stayed away from FB nearly all day, just had a look now at CA and am discusted [sic] by several of the post on there, most especially disgusted at the American who is trying to whip up a mob to complain to our 'elected officials' and how we should all accuse GOSH medics of 'murder' .
If the boot was on the other foot and we were interfering in the US legal process I think many there would be in uproar.
