A new thread to follow on from the others about this case

Some of the CA posts are so daft, one comments about him lying there relaxed so couldn't be in pain, and that the morphine is doping him up.

I've just seen a terrible post, admittedly an article by the fail of a mum withdrawing life support for her newborn baby and the comments from CA are just

I said this a few threads back, but when my relative was having life saving treatment in a highly respected children's hospital, there were cameras, reporters there. This was absolutely horrendous for everyone, as we were already struggling with very difficult situations.

If you look at the photographs Connie and Chris have posed for in the hospital, there isn't a wall behind them- there's a standard curtain divider.
Meaning there's sick children and their parents in the ward bay with them, while Featureworld photographers pop in and out to take pictures to sell on.

For anyone who doesn't know, all images of Connie, Chris and Charlie are copyrighted and published through Featureworld, a story selling site which the family have hired to handle their media exposure.

They take the exclusive photos, and get a commission each time they are used.

On my short foray into CA today I read that the morphine was given to cause brain damage and kill him. GOSH were doing that so their previous treatment would be exposed in the court.
CA should contact GOSH and suggest calpol instead as a PP read.

Yeah. Haven't seen that article but have seen other posts from CA being horrible about parents who have had their babies life support switched off, including "I can't believe so many parents would agree to kill their babies just to save some hassle"

TinselTwins it doesn't matter whether they are a nurse, cleaner, admin or anything else, if their profile names the NHS organisation that employs them they will be in breach of social media policy and will be in a lot of trouble.

Would the judge be in a position to stipulate no social media I wonder?

I doubt that he's remotely aware of the whole charlies army stuff or the merchandise shop etc, but if he was, he could surely speak out against it in the hearing as well? After all, the involvements in social media activity plus merchandising etc are presumably all good reasons to consider making Charlie a ward of court? If that was a possibility the parents might think twice before remaining involved on that scale?

What!! How dare they comment on other parents like that, having been through he death of a child. It's horrible. They were going on about how people in the street passing by a protest (near me, shudder) were as bad as GOSH and murderers too. (showed a pic of a mum with babes in a pram passing by). What is wrong with them? Most of them are also mothers..

This should be a private thing.

As many other forgotten parents' trauma in similar cirumstances is.

Shocking stuff tinsel can they not see how they contradict themselves? C&C can do no wrong at all, any question of them is met with furious rebuttal and how could you say that when they are going through this, yet Poor parents of those babies, I imagine they are torn apart inside already but to see those things written about you :( grim.

@LogicalPsycho they've cut ties with Featureworld now. The featureworld woman is quoted in the DM (I think? A few threads back now?!) as saying she's been ousted and Reverend pro-life is now the family's spokesperson. I'll try to find the link again.

I would think it likely GOSH are monitoring CA facebook quite carefully for various reasons, and that at least some screenshots have been shared as part of their evidence of stress/pressure on the staff. The Guardian is also going to be aware of the webpage, the merchandise and the family's role in CA as part of their picture of the family situation. So it's more than likely the judge is quite well aware.

I thought the Pastor had gone back to America.

Logical - that's dreadful. At least where we were the press were reporting on something that had happened previously, so the media were in the hospital grounds, but not on the wards and you had to be buzzed in to nicu, so no fucking random strangers were there.

LogicalPsycho Featureworld have been elbowed out by the pastor. The featureworld woman is very unhappy about it.

Presumably this is written by the parents (it's the blog page). So why are they still giving this statement about the 10% improvement..

Some here might be well aware of the donations to someone's personal bank account WTF, but anyway.

Others are on FB and not aware and will not be. Sadly.

Money that some people can ill afford is being sent to them.

It should be for your own family/children now. No question, no reasons.

The pastor said he would be back in America tomorrow, so hopefully he's had his bags packed for him and the door hit him on the way out.

The whole Pastor thing is so uncomfortable and you could tell it was his gain. If cared that wouldn't be published photos..he wouldn't be on social media going on how he wasn't allowed in he'd be trying to sort it privately.

It became all about him. His comment 'here I am' about the photo with the parents and with some awkward smile...
