NO!

could have
would have
should have

It's past tense...it's stating what you could have done, would have done or should havedone. Could've, should've, would've are actual contractions of those terms...they're in the dictionary and everything!

It's not could'f, would'f or should'f is it?
'Of' makes no fucking sense! Stop using it!

I'm not generally one for the grammar pedantry but this one makes people look thick in a way that other common grammar mistakes don't imo.

Sorry...but I felt the need to express. Boot me about if you want.

Loads of people use picture-skew - I think the first time I heard (or noticed) it I was about 10. It was the sort of joke many of my parents' friends would make to make children laugh. Even my dh does it sometimes!

I like 'misled', another common one.

The most recent error I've noticed, which is occurring a lot is 'been' instead of 'being'.

Years ago, rather than pointing out people's errors on threads, I would try to use the same phrase or word in my post, but correctly. Rarely made a difference.

In the old MN days, when it was all fields, there was no problem pointing these type of things out; people do still ask for paragraphs, now though. I suppose that will become unacceptable soon. The things is that if you can write your thoughts in paragraphs, it does help you organise them thus making you think a bit more clearly, so it does help the poster as well as the readers.
