To really dislike Andy Murray?

I cannot warm to Murray; he sounds bored and dismissive whenever he talks. A cold fish IMO.

I don't get the hate for him. I'm not remotely interested in tennis but I think he's a decent guy for (repeatedly) pointing out the sexism in the way female players are (not) talked about. No, a man shouldn't be getting congratulated for stating the obvious but it's not like everybody else is doing it.

He is just a big, awkward, serious Scottish boy - reminds me of loads of my friends' sons and I find him quite endearing.

YANBU to dislike Andy Murray OP.

It's fairly common for people who aren't happy with their life and/or themselves, to dislike someone famous, rich, and successful who is doing much better in life than them.

Don't beat yourself up. Your life will get better with a little time and effort on your part.

^ this. I teach Engineering at a Scottish university and I see so many boys like this. They seem a bit dull and awkward but when you take time to talk to them they are funny, warm and quite loveable. Andy just happens to be good at tennis as well. When he was in the audience for Mock the Week he was obviously having a great time and took the mocking in good part.
There are plenty of well known people I don't particularly like, but I don't feel the need to start threads wishing them ill when they have done no harm to anyone. As the saying goes, this says more about you than him.
