Yes Roscoe was the one with the giant swerve although I spent almost all the time he was on court looking at his legs! No athlete past or present has legs to match his in my view.

It's weird how we can dislike someone we have never met but we all, or almost all, do it. Personally I can't stand the Williams sisters. I never watch them play now.

Murray certainly has a claim to be the preeminent British sportsperson of our time, and always seemed grounded, decent and honest. Those who think he doesn't have a sense of humour should see his interviews alongside the rest of the Davis Cup team.

One thing that really pees me off about Wimbledon coverage is that, each time a player makes a point, the camera swivels to the player's "box" to pick up the reactions of wives, mothers, other halves,. Drives me nuts! Concentrate on the tennis, the Beeb, ffs!

Rare for me to agree with you Mygastisflabbered, but tend to here. Met him several times years ago when Kim's dad did some coaching with my dd. Found Andy monotone and rather uninspiring, tho I have to admit he is truly inspirational on the tennis court and I would like him to win Wimbledon ! Kim and her Dad Nigel were lovely people, I could take or leave Judy.

I rather liked Tiger Tim's style of play. A good serve and volleyer, rather unusual in these days of dull baseline bashers. 🎾

And this from a bloke whose coach said as a youngster he was the least talented player in his age group. At 18, his results were piss poor. What Henman did have, however, was complete drive and self discipline. Apparently he was the first on the coach in the morning, and last off at night.

Far from the most talented player in the field, he nevertheless rose to world no 4 quite late in his career through sheer hard work and application.

Just a shame the British media and his fans were such a bunch of dunderheads.
