It annoys me and it's not funny.

Oh if it annoys you let's all stop Grin

MikeUniformMike · 07/07/2017 20:24

Is this the Zillagate thread?

NotAPuffin · 07/07/2017 20:24

Yes, let's stopzilla.

CatsGoPurrrr · 07/07/2017 20:24

YABUzilla

Howlandbreathe · 07/07/2017 20:25

YABU - Zilla

Onhold · 07/07/2017 20:25

Just stop. It's nearly as naff as 'darked on'

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 07/07/2017 20:25

YANBU to wish for that.

Can they also stop with the parking threads with diagrams. Hmm We have reached saturation point.

Sparklingbrook · 07/07/2017 20:26

YY 'darked on' and don't forget the spider's willies. Confused

JeReviens · 07/07/2017 20:27

Hide the thread is a simply marvellous function. I do it for any thread that I see the word 'hun' or any thread that is attempting to make out that fictional characters are real - especially anything with Peppa freaking Pig. Hide thread and then it's gone - no more annoyance.

Try it OP

Hidezilla!

BabsGanoush · 07/07/2017 20:27

Darkzilla?

Onhold · 07/07/2017 20:27

zilla fucking this and diagram that.

I blame the huns.

You don't have to click on or reply to threads that irritate you, you know.

Onhold · 07/07/2017 20:28

I'm happily reading a troll thread and the zilla army invade.

OP posts:
FreakinDeacon · 07/07/2017 20:29

I have banned the use of 'gate' after everything at work.

We have had biscuitgate, fangate, overtimebangate, fridgegate and scaffoldergate.

I do like a Zilla thread though so YABU

Sparklingbrook · 07/07/2017 20:30

You don't have to click on or reply to threads that irritate you, you know.

Phew I did not realise that. Grin

Thank goodness for the Hide Thread function I say.

EdmundCleverClogs · 07/07/2017 20:30

This was never going to go wellzilla.

Seriously though, what is the issue? It is a longstanding suffix stemming from popular culture. It's not like MN invented it, and it's so ingrained in society and language that I don't understand the need to start a thread about it?

nocoolnamesleft · 07/07/2017 20:30

Zillagate?

Sparklingbrook · 07/07/2017 20:31

I don't think it's that ingrained. I have only ever heard it in relation to brides in RL not anything else.

Onhold · 07/07/2017 20:31

Because it's not funny. No one in RL ever said zilla.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 07/07/2017 20:33

I am about to get my washing in. Leaving it out overnight makes it smell funny in the morning.

ALemonyPea · 07/07/2017 20:33

Steady there OnHoldZilla!

NicolasFlamel · 07/07/2017 20:33

Alright whingezilla

YouTheCat · 07/07/2017 20:34

Threadzilla? Grin

Onhold · 07/07/2017 20:34

If anyone I knew said workzilla or shagzilla, I'd give them a swerve.
