And if no way on earth I were to open a 'breakfast all day' gourmet restaurant it would be ace (I'd call it Dawn til Dusk)

I just had apricots, yoghurt and nuts for lunch - delicious.

On the menu would be:

Eggs Florentine/Benedict/Royale

Porridge with brown sugar and cream

Kedgeree

Croissants of all kinds

Omelette Arnold Bennett

Bircher Muesli

Fruit salad

Full English veggie and meat

Welsh Rarebit not breakfast but hey

the 'Hangover' - Bloody Mary and cold Pizza

Totally fab coffee

Left over curry

Otherwise breakfast is crap

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 12:16

Burnt white toast with salty butter

I love breakfast too but I don't like it when I first wake up.

I hate the whole cereal thing, there's no rule saying you can't eat anything you want, whatever time it is.

I like your menu.

OllyBJolly · 06/07/2017 12:22

My favourite meal out is breakfast - just something so decadent about it! It's a habit my US cousins have which I'd like to see more of here - good quality, sociable breakfast eateries.

Probably the best I've had was a skillet in South Carolina - fried onions, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes. Just gorgeous. Could have had it with chicken or steak but that was a step too far for me. Decent cup of tea would have made it better, sadly not available in the southern states.

Blondielongie · 06/07/2017 12:23

muesli, yougurt and honey.

Love a croissant with ham, cheese and mustard too!

splendide · 06/07/2017 12:25

I would frequent your restaurant but please add a heuvos rancheros (sp?).

PinkHeart5911 · 06/07/2017 12:26

I love a good breakfast, I love eating something nice when I get up.

Pancakes, banana, walnuts and caramel sauce

Porridge, berries, drizzle of honey

Poached eggs on home made bread toasted with salted butter

Bacon, sausages, fried mushrooms, Toast

Fruit salad with yogurt

Smoked salmon bagel with Buck's Fizz for a birthday

Always a fresh pot of coffee and nice orange juice

BaldricksTrousers · 06/07/2017 12:26

YABU. Breakfast is fuel.

(Can you tell I have IBS and can't enjoy a fry up anymore? Or eggs. Or dairy.)

Libitina · 06/07/2017 12:29

My favourite meal out is breakfast - just something so decadent about it!

Same here. Love a full English, white toast with proper butter and copious amounts of coffee. Means we don't need to eat again until evening as well. Even then, just something light.

Don't cook it home though. Nearest would be a bacon butty of a weekend.

MackerelOfFact · 06/07/2017 12:30

I'm not a big fan of breakfast in the morning (hardly ever have time to make anything fancy or enjoy it) but I love having breakfast for dinner - fry-up, eggs royale, beans on toast, bacon sarnie, huevos rancheros, omlette. Yum.

Titsywoo · 06/07/2017 12:31

Breakfast is meh. I rarely bother eating it. Dinner is the best meal .

ShatnersWig · 06/07/2017 12:31

YABU. The only time I eat breakfast is if I'm on holiday and I've paid for it in the cost of the room so I will damn well have it.

ProseccoandPizza · 06/07/2017 12:36

Love breakfast but not at breakfast time. I occasionally eat a toasted muffin or bagel if DS is having the same.

However DP works away in week coming back on Wednesday evenings for dinner and it's our little tradition for either a fry up or posh sausage sandwich/baguette.

Love sausage and fried onion so much!

Confusedandintrigued · 06/07/2017 12:37

Agreed
However I wouldn't come to your restaurant because it's missing smashed avocado on toast

Oysterbabe · 06/07/2017 12:41

I want a smoked salmon bagel or I'm not coming.

rainbowpie · 06/07/2017 12:41

Breakfast is the best meal by far: cheese omelette with hash browns; smoked salmon and scrambled eggs; eggs floretine; muesli with honey and yoghurt; croissants and hot chocolate; blue milk porridge with maple syrup and pecan nuts; nutella pancakes; banana caramel waffles; egg mcmuffins; yy to good old white toast and butter!

Things to ram: baked beans; bacon.

rainbowpie · 06/07/2017 12:42

My sandwich is really unsatisfying after that. Might add some HP then it'll taste like breakfast.

DotForShort · 06/07/2017 12:49

I would definitely go to your restaurant! I love going out to breakfast, preferably mid to late morning, for a leisurely experience (also I can't really eat anything when I first get up). Also love breakfast-for-dinner. Yum.

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:25

Oh yes yes to Heuevos Rancheros

Waffles
Pancakes obvs

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:27

Smoked Salmon with everything.

Obviously open for Breakfast-for-dinner

in South India they have this heavenly thing called 'shrikkand' - strained sweetened yogurt with saffron, cardamon + pistachio nuts. '

HoneyIshrunktheBiscuit · 06/07/2017 13:32

Eating out for breakfast/brunch is far superior to going out for lunch/dinner.

I'd like to also add French toast and steak and eggs to the list.

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:32

I'm not ruling our anything breakfasty. I don't even know what makes it 'breakfasty' actually
Ohh - hot cross buns too!

OP posts:
girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:32

Oh YES to French Toast
