And if no way on earth I were to open a 'breakfast all day' gourmet restaurant it would be ace (I'd call it Dawn til Dusk)

I just had apricots, yoghurt and nuts for lunch - delicious.

On the menu would be:

Eggs Florentine/Benedict/Royale

Porridge with brown sugar and cream

Kedgeree

Croissants of all kinds

Omelette Arnold Bennett

Bircher Muesli

Fruit salad

Full English veggie and meat

Welsh Rarebit not breakfast but hey

the 'Hangover' - Bloody Mary and cold Pizza

Best breakfast is a full English, lots of hot coffee, cold toast, buttered with thick cut marmalade.

Preferably followed by a quick nap before check out on the chintzy B and B bed.

Its my favourite meal and I love to eat it when I wake up, none of this 'i can't eat in the morning', I wake up and just want to eat.
I would have something with eggs and/or bacon / smoked salmon every day if I had time.
I never eat cereal but toast and marmite is food of the gods!

Butterymuffin · 06/07/2017 19:14

Breakfast IS the best meal. I love a full
English, a bacon butty, a smoked salmon bagel, grapefruit and brown sugar, porridge and cream, avocado and sourdough toast... it goes on. Best sign a restaurant can have is 'All Day Breakfast' 🍳

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 06/07/2017 19:15

Can you serve breakfast burritos please? Vegetarian and meaty? Thanks.

YANBU! Breakfast is the best. I wake up hungry so that first meal feels amazing.
Sometimes I have breakfast food for lunch or dinner too...

Eminybob · 06/07/2017 19:25

Americans properly make a meal (lol) out of breakfast.

When dh and I went to New York, we went to the same diner every morning and the breakfast menu was epic. Pancakes, waffles, omelettes, even steak. Lovely crispy bacon and little sausage links. Hash browns! That weird sweet butter stuff. With bottomless cups of coffee.

When I go out for breakfast in this country it has to be eggs benedict or royale. Spoons do eggs royale now and it's not half bad.

Eminybob · 06/07/2017 19:27

Oh pain au chocolate dipped into hot coffee. That is a good one too.

isseywithcats · 06/07/2017 19:28

i finish work at almost lunchtime so my breakfast is then and my favourite is buttered american pancakes, crispy streaky bacon, fried egg sunny side up with maple syrup poured over it

MrsChopper · 06/07/2017 19:34

Dont forget dippy eggs and soldiers on your menu!

Clandestino · 06/07/2017 19:35

Full Irish. Minus the beans, yuck.
But fried egg with a runny yolk, black and white pudding, a rasher just ever so slightly burned on the edges, sausages and hash browns - a dream. Add a pot of strong black tea, milk and sugar and you're in heaven.
Huevos rancheros, spicy and fluffy.
My Mums semolina pudding with cinnamon sugar and burned butter.
Again, rice pudding with cinnamon, cocoa and burned butter.
French toast but salty, with some grated cheese, English mustard and gherkins.
Sourdough bread, slightly grilled and then brushed with a garlic clove and with plenty of butter.
Creamy scrambled eggs with smoked cheese, dusted with paprika and served with tomatoes and peppers fresh from the garden and fresh white bread with a really crusty crust.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/07/2017 19:40

Churros please Grin

Makkapakkaupsydaisy · 06/07/2017 19:44

JuicyCake · 06/07/2017 21:59

Yes! No food, no work.
First cup of tea in the morning is my favourite taste.

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 22:06

Thing is: it's not exclusively unhealthy - you could meet your many and varied friends and someone could have fruit salad or porridge, and their friends could have a full English,

I was feeling sad yesterday when I was in my town because I really fancied sitting in a cafe and having a bacon sandwich but they all finished breakfast stuff at 11am.

So I would definitely come to your cafe OP Smile

Groupie123 · 06/07/2017 22:25

I prefer brunch.
