And if no way on earth I were to open a 'breakfast all day' gourmet restaurant it would be ace (I'd call it Dawn til Dusk)

I just had apricots, yoghurt and nuts for lunch - delicious.

On the menu would be:

Eggs Florentine/Benedict/Royale

Porridge with brown sugar and cream

Kedgeree

Croissants of all kinds

Omelette Arnold Bennett

Bircher Muesli

Fruit salad

Full English veggie and meat

Welsh Rarebit not breakfast but hey

the 'Hangover' - Bloody Mary and cold Pizza

I love a full English (and I'm so happy you include a veggie option Grin ).
But I hate breakfast first thing in the morning. Makes me feel sick.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 13:34

You've missed corn beef hash off the menu. With a fried egg on it, obviously. I couldn't believe it the first time I went to America and they had CBH on all the breakfast menus

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:35

kippers and oaty bread

I'm fond of breakfast but it's definitely my least favourite child out of breakfast, boozy brunch, lunch, and dinner.

ExplodingCarrots · 06/07/2017 13:35

Well I'd come to your cafe op. I do love a full brekkie -and a leftover Chinese .

BitOutOfPractice · 06/07/2017 13:36

Oh god yes, a boozy brunch is the best ever. But you can have a boozy brunch at OP's cafe!

MeanAger · 06/07/2017 13:38

Any meal with bacon on it is the best meal.

RortyCrankle · 06/07/2017 13:41

I tend to only eat one meal a day and it's never at breakfast time, so it's a no from me.

Bobbiepin · 06/07/2017 13:41

Stick shakshuka on and i'm there. I've been craving cereal while pregnant, getting through a family mega box to myself in a couple of days at the moment.

JellyTeapot · 06/07/2017 13:45

Ooh, I'd go to your restaurant for late breakfast/brunch! And in an ideal world would then have afternoon tea later Grin

EverythingUnderTheSun · 06/07/2017 13:51

Proud Left over curry

I had the most heavenly breakfast in India but I don't know what it's called! Flat breads that were made by sort of swinging the dough round like a spinning plate, then folding it up, repeatedly, so you are left with a round flaky (and greasy!) flat bread. Served with a sort of coconut dip thing that was honestly the best thing I've ever eaten (if anyone can identify this I'd be grateful to know the name!)
All the tourists were queueing up for this stuff every morning Grin so we must have that.

Also cold leftover pizza.

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:52

@Everythingunderthesun - sounds like Paratha

In that case she can have my custom.

girlwhowearsglasses · 06/07/2017 13:55

Yes to boozy breakfast in the evening!

I can't think of a nicer meal than bucks fizz or Bloody Mary, Eggs Royale (the smoked salmon one) or Eggs Arnold Bennet (the smoked haddock and and cheese chive omelletty one), lots of champagne followed by frut and pancakes or waffles!

Then an espresso with Grappa ;-)

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 06/07/2017 14:03

Left over pizza warmed up

Thick toast with butter and jam

Proper Yorkshire tea

DragonNoodleCake · 06/07/2017 14:08

Yes, French toast with crispy smoked bacon and good maple syrup please

Or

Cubed fried potatoes and chorizo with egg scrambled through it.

Or

Roasted tomato and smashed avocado on good sourdough toast

RhubardGin · 06/07/2017 14:09

Pancakes, crispy bacon and maple syrup mmmmmm

Or left over cold pizza Grin

Triskaidekaphilia · 06/07/2017 14:11

I have a tiny appetite in the morning and am not a fan of the full english breakfast except for super crispy bacon, but I love the more carby breakfast foods like waffles, pancakes, pastries and crumpets... I'd totally rock up to your restaurant at 1pm and gorge on of the above with a decaff latte Grin

SillyLittleBiscuit · 06/07/2017 14:12

Shakshuka is a must and potato rostis with eggs.

Please open this restaurant. In London. Thanks.

Triskaidekaphilia · 06/07/2017 14:14

Pancakes, crispy bacon and maple syrup mmmmmm
God yes Rhubard, with some assembly required I had that for breakfast at a premier inn last week!

Triskaidekaphilia · 06/07/2017 14:18

Ooh, I'd go to your restaurant for late breakfast/brunch! And in an ideal world would then have afternoon tea later

I'd love a restaurant that specialised in in betweeny meals. Brunch, afternoon tea and supper? although I don't know what supper is other than scoffing a big bag of m&ms in the evening

HoneyIshrunktheBiscuit · 06/07/2017 14:26

I hope there are both English pancakes, crepes And the American variety

Diamondsandpears · 06/07/2017 19:06

I've just eaten but these menu suggestions sound so good. Especially the drinks. Love that breakfast can be appropriate to any time of the day and can have savoury and sweet elements to suit all tastes Grin

toffeeboffin · 06/07/2017 19:09

It's the bomb, is brekkie.

Not sure why they don't have breakfast restaurants in the UK, they'd make a killing.
