AIBU to think that thousands of people loving charlie and bradley is some what false.

I know exactly what It is like to have a poorly child same as hundreds more parents in the uk.
Set aside my belief that I believe that bradley has very little dignity and both him and charlie are now used as some weird sort of click bait.

The supporters I do not understand it ?

We love you, we are heart broken and we will miss you.

Now I get empathy but this is not empathy this is media posts just gone crazy to write the most heart breaking post they can.
I wish neither of these children would have to lose their life and can undetstand the parents pain just like the rest of the terminally ill children in this country.

You can feel sad that these things happen but this just seems weird and could not imagine allowing a nation of people watching my child pass away.

I mean how many of them 2 years from now will wake up on the morning of their anniversary and automatically remember them ?

For the last time - not for one second am I defending the actions of CA - if they damage GOSH in any way, then that will be a travesty. I am trying to explain that at this very moment, both Bradley and Charlie's parents may be holding their children while they slip away, we know both children have very limited time left. Please for the love of god, tell me I am not going mad, tell me that just one person out there thinks this is the wrong time to be having this discussion?

LogicalPsycho · 05/07/2017 18:57

Just wondering, is the buying and reselling of ASDA branded customised baby bottles for profit even legal??

They're Sold Out on Charlie's Merchandise Site. Who is giving their baby drinks from a bottle that's been painted in the house of some stranger on the Internet? Confused

LogicalPsycho · 05/07/2017 18:59

ASDA bottle being customised and resold. I bet ASDA wouldn't even dare object to this tbh, as there'd be a social media outrage with a mass boycott of ASDA for being "A heartless business"

Oops, double load of image Blush

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 05/07/2017 19:01

JaneEyre70 that's like the one near me. Loads of can't do this date..Someone else saying 7 people ain't a lot..another long as we're heard let's go to the hospital to do it..be surprised if it happens just be a gathering

NorthernLurker · 05/07/2017 19:03

This thread is disrespectful but the air fresheners are ok? Hmm

I don't think there is anybody in this site who doesn't have compassion for Charlie and his parents. However having compassion doesn't mean thinking they are without fault. To be honest I'm fairly horrified that they have stretched out the legal battle, allowed so much ire to be poured on NHS staff and still, it seems, are resisting the withdrawal of treatment. Of course none of us can say what we would do in similar terrible circumstances but I'm fairly sure I wouldn't do what they've done. My POV is of course undoubtedly shaped by working in a hospital which has led me to believe there are worse things than being dead.

MusicForTheJiltedGeneration · 05/07/2017 19:06

@LogicalPsycho

To be fair they missed a trick with the baby bottle. If they'd dipped that shit in glitter they could have whacked another £5 on it.

SerfTerf · 05/07/2017 19:18

I am trying to explain that at this very moment, both Bradley and Charlie's parents may be holding their children while they slip away,

I'm sorry @HarryHarlow I find that prurient, mawkish and bad taste.

DeleteOrDecay · 05/07/2017 19:19

I have every sympathy for Charlie and his parents in this situation but I am shocked at the 'merchandise' available. What's the point of it? Whether intended or not they've made him into a cash cow.

Just let him go ffs, end his sufferingSad

MommaGee · 05/07/2017 19:22

Harry you can't say it's disrespectful to utter his name whilst blatantly pushing him all over social media. When his "army" are being riled up to "fight". Surely this is what his family want - his name and face out there.
Was it disrespectful for TM to discuss him in the HOC or Trump to Tweet him? It comes down to the same thing.

Please repost the glib comments about Charlie of this thread because personally I can't recall anything. Many posters on here understand having a terminally ill child. Many more of us have had critically ill children. We all have empathy for their situation but they can't court publicity and demand no one otters his name at thr same time

MommaGee · 05/07/2017 19:23

How morbid do you need to be to buy a frame with his name on for £57!!!

TheHouseOfIllRepute · 05/07/2017 19:27

This thread is distastefulHmm
Look at the merchandise for true distasteful

Seconded.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/07/2017 19:44

tell me that just one person out there thinks this is the wrong time to be having this discussion?

FWIW I could certainly go along with that, IF it wasn't for the family's choice to blast the whole sad issue worldwide. If, for example, some ghastly journalist had ferreted this out by sticking their nose where it wasn't wanted then yes - I'd agree that it's not our place to say anything

But as so many PPs have said, you absolutely cannot choose to make family affairs blatantly public, slander an honourable institution and engage in some of the more dubious commercialism, and then expect folk to make no comment ... regrettably or not, it just doesn't work that way

I'm truly sorry, Harry, but I honestly think your disquiet's aimed in the wrong direction

JonSnowsWhore · 05/07/2017 19:44

Mommagee not that I have much to defend them over but you get your own child's name put in the frame, the name 'charlie' is just for the advert Grin

Cococrumble · 05/07/2017 19:53

They are now tweeting banksy and asking why GOSH can't just disconnect his life support, the Italian hospital connect him straight to theirs and "off he goes"

I honestly hope no one on that group ever experiences a child on life support. If only it was that simple Sad

Fancythat69 · 05/07/2017 19:56

I honestly can't believe some of the rubbish that I'm reading

Pic fail

frankie001 · 05/07/2017 20:00

They are reporting GOSH to the NSPCC for child cruelty.

Alittlepotofrosie · 05/07/2017 20:02

Now theresa won't help they're all trying to contact jeremy corbyn. I cannot see him using a sick child to score political points.

JaneEyre70 · 05/07/2017 20:04

Fancy I'm actually gobsmacked Hmm

Maudlinmaud · 05/07/2017 20:08

Serious question. How do you deregister a birth? How have I never heard of this? Is this just fb speak for stupid?

SerfTerf · 05/07/2017 20:09

@Fancythat69 , That sounds like "Freeman of the land" conspiracy nuttiness.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 05/07/2017 20:09

How would that even work?! How would he get to America with no passport as he wouldn't exist..why has someone said yes!

Quartz2208 · 05/07/2017 20:10

What on earth could JC do anyway. The Government can't overrule the judiciary so certainly an MP can't. Legally they have gone to the very top so there is no room for manoeuvre on any front.

And that is what is so sad, nothing can be done and rather than gently supporting the parents to understand that there is nothing to be done they are coming up with more and more outlandish ideas
