To ask what your weight, height and dress size are?

I've seen loads of threads on here lately with people questioning how people can be a certain dress size at a certain weight.

I'm really interested to se how much it can vary from person to person and if people who are the same weight and height could be completely different dress sizes as I suppose muscle mass is a factor too.

Anyway, I'm rambling.

I'll start it off:

Height: 5ft 4.5
Weight: 8 stone 12 lbs
Dress Size: 10

5'4, 8 stone, size 6.
My top half is extremely skinny but I have a big arse and hips. I don't wear jeans at all, only leggings and skirts or dresses.

7 ft 9 ins tall
33 stone
Size 8 clothes
Size 3 feet

5ft nothing
9 stone 4
Size 14

But I do have big boobs!

5' 4
17st 1lb
Size 16

Exercise 5 times a week, blackbelt in martial arts, and leg muscles to make a horse jealous.
Which is why I think BMI is a load of shite.

MNers are a slim lot.
Average dress size in the UK is a 16, yet I see very few 16s on the first page.

I do exercise a lot so my jiggly bits are far less jiggly, I'm much more toned and am now a 'comfortable' size 12.

It varies massively doesn't it.

I am over my normal weight at the moment but am 5ft and just under 10st sz 12. At my usual weight of 9st 4 I'm a 10 but at 8st 12 like the OP I'm an 8.

Definitely depends on body type and what sort of exercise you do.

Due to vanity sizing I can buy anything from a 6 upwards in some places.

Well I'm 26 weeks pregnant so I'll tell you what I was before haha:

I think alot of it comes down to the fact muscle weighs much more than fat, and people carry weight in different places.

For example - I used to work in a care home, we'd have to weigh residents on a weekly basis. Some of them were 1-1.5 stone lighter than me but we're HUGE! I was always gobsmacked, but they had 0 muscle and didn't move out of their seats all day. It was only then I really understood the whole muscle vs fat thing.

I also had two friends around the same time who were both 14 stone - one was really firm, toned, hour glass figure, and was a size 12, but she did walk everywhere and was very active. The other was very sedentary and was a size 18-20. Both of their 14 stone was distributed so differently !

I think unless people realise the whole muscle: fat thing, and how weight is carried, they don't realise that someone could be heavier than them but I smaller size and visa versa.
