To think it's not normal for an 18 year old to play video games on their day off? Mine doesn't move!

OP posts:

Tali love them, one of my favourite games on it is actually the Addams family one, quite a random one but a really good game.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 25/06/2017 16:40

I dont think I ever played that one, Gaming

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 25/06/2017 16:43

I'm 50, I would love to spend a day gaming. Rarely get the chance though. It's no different to spending the day reading or watching television.

RestlessTraveller · 25/06/2017 16:48

Fuck. I'm 43 and do this regularly.

TheWitchAndTrevor · 25/06/2017 16:49

I need to get wow craft don't I? I feel like the odd one out reading this thread.

I play ESO, just having a breather after finishing a dungeon.

Both ds play games a lot, and meet up with friends online. They would happily play all day, as would I.

What's really sad is sometimes ds2 will meet me online and we play together.

GamingnameC · 25/06/2017 16:51

Same thewitch, I play guild wars 2 but everyone seems to be more of a WoW fan!

AnnaFiveTowns · 25/06/2017 16:53

I've known professional adult men to book the week after the new Call of Duty game was released off work in order to stay home and play on the xbox.

kali110 · 25/06/2017 16:55

So you think as soon as she turned 16 she should just stop doing things she enjoys?
Why is it only on mn that is see threads about this subject?
That if you're a certain age and play games you're clearly not mature and if you're a bloke....Confused
How about whatever age ypu are you do things you enjoy?
I like playing games on my phone and im in my 30's, so do most of my friends!

Allergictoironing · 25/06/2017 16:58

My DSis is in her late 50's, and spends plenty of her time off playing with a couple of her other-end-of-the-country sons who are in their mid 20's. I (mid-50's) only spent 4 hours gaming this morning, as I had a couple of things i needed to get done before watching the Grand Prix.

ConConstance · 25/06/2017 17:07

My best male friend is 34 year old still plays them on his day off 😂

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 25/06/2017 17:14

'What's more, my cousin (33) works in the industry, and makes a fucking tidy packet thank you.'

One of my sons has just started working in the industry, his entry level pay is very respectable. I did a double take when I found out what it was.

RunYouJuiceBitch · 25/06/2017 17:22

It's all my husband does on his days off and he's 40. Hmm

RortyCrankle · 25/06/2017 17:26

OP why don't you try playing a game yourself? You may enjoy it. Oh and I guarantee if something upsets you or makes you mad, there's no better cure than hacking and slashing your way through the mobs in a dungeon Grin

I met one of my best friends in an online game. We have never met, he is Russian and subsequently moved to Australia with his family. I was mid 60s and he was 14 - we are both puzzled and bemused how two vastly different aged people can form such a good friendship and decided its because we share a similar sense of humour. Ten years on, we still chat on Skype every day and still make each other laugh although these days I am usually also trying to sort out his girlfriend problems Smile

OliviaTheFox · 25/06/2017 17:26

I would be if I didn't have a 2 year old.
Happily.

TheHeraldOfAndraste · 25/06/2017 17:26

Btw do any DA:I players know whereabouts in the deep roads you can pick up Bianca upgrades? Poor Varric hasnt had anything new in a while.

OliviaTheFox · 25/06/2017 17:27

And I'm a 34 year old female.

afternoonnapper · 25/06/2017 17:31

Sorry to disappoint but my 42 DH has spent 3 hours playing computer games today! If they love games it rarely goes away!

afternoonnapper · 25/06/2017 17:31

42 year old DH

Nanny0gg · 25/06/2017 17:34

I have a Mega drive... Grin

I just need to get the right connector for the new-fangled telly. Then I can play Cool Spot and Toejam and Earl again [grin}

Thanks for the suggestions.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 25/06/2017 17:34

DH is 45 and can happily sit for most of the day if he's on his own

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 25/06/2017 17:35

I'm 44 and spent an entire day playing the latest Lara Croft Tombraider game. It was brilliant! My DP plays the COD games and will happily do the same. It's rare a game really grabs my attention but when it does I'll happily waste hours playing.

CaptainHammer · 25/06/2017 18:00

@annafivetowns I'm a professional grown woman and book a week off when the new call of duty comes out Grin

Unadon · 25/06/2017 18:03

Oh dear now this thread is just tempting me to renew my sub for WoW. All my mates have jumped ship to Overwatch though, so guild's pretty much dead. Sad

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 25/06/2017 18:05

Nanny I'll get the lead and pop round to test it out.

Kerantli · 25/06/2017 18:09

Just last week I spent a solid 13 hours on Stardew Valley, I'm 28 Grin
