To think it's not normal for an 18 year old to play video games on their day off? Mine doesn't move!

OP posts:
TaurenInAChinaShop · 25/06/2017 18:14

Rorty I totally agree, I stumbled across WoW when my dad got sick, and rather bizarrely it was hugely helpful.

Witch you do, you do. So. Much. Fun. Although I haven't played ESO, just the earlier ones so yours might be better Wink

Unadon come back, easier than ever to find groups for stuff these days.

Btw, sorry OP, I don't think this gaming lovefest was what you were expecting.

TheHeraldOfAndraste · 25/06/2017 18:15

captainhammer im quite excited about WWII. I was a bit meh about Infinite warfare even though I thought the single player was the most solid one so far.

Is your name a reference to Dr Horrible btw?

Unadon · 25/06/2017 18:27

TaurenInAChinaShop I just might! Also I must say I am absolutely in love with your name over here. Bloody brilliant! Grin

toomuchtooold · 25/06/2017 18:28

I would totally spend my day off gaming if I ever got a day off. I'm 41.

MothertotheLordsofmisrule · 25/06/2017 18:30

I'm 44.

And I spent 2 hours last night jumping off buildings in power armour cause I could. (There was a method to my madness)

One day I may actually finish the main story line.Grin

I do go for walks, read and interact with real people as well.

Gaming is a hobby like any other.

Uberfluffs · 25/06/2017 18:36

DH spends his days off gaming and he's 53 Grin

DeleteOrDecay · 25/06/2017 18:43

I'm mid 20's and have been gaming since childhood. Why on earth would I stop at 18? It's something I enjoy. Glad I seem to be in the majority on this thread.

NC4now · 25/06/2017 18:44

My 40 year old husband has spent most of the day on his ps4.
My 15 year old son has been out on his bike.

ScrunchyBook · 25/06/2017 18:58

Hello fellow gamers, playing Dragon Age Inquisition here too. I am 32 and DH 35, both still on the xbox most days, but with baby twins to look after not so much time now.
GamingnameC I LOVE your gaming room

Kidssendingmenuts · 25/06/2017 19:00

My x (see I say X) at the age of 30 still played stupid PlayStation games rather than watching his own kids or giving me a break! Hence why he is an X along with many other of his man child problems!

LordPercy · 25/06/2017 19:02

My DH would happily do this if he could get away with it 🤔. DS1 is 18 and if not out driving with mates will be on his Xbox playing some game that involves yapping until all hours to the same mates on a headset. In the 80's I spent hours on the landline phone with my mates, I see this as the C21st equivalent really. He's starting a p/t job soon and then college starts so his gaming time will be pruned considerably. It's just a hobby in this house shrugs

TheHeraldOfAndraste · 25/06/2017 19:07

scrunchy who are you romancing and what class are you playing as?

ScrunchyBook · 25/06/2017 19:14

This is my first play through and I'm a Qunari warrior (with a rather posh English accent, doesn't match very well)
I love to hack and slash, that's how I played Skyrim.
Haven't really figured out the romancing, is that where you see the love heart on the conversation wheel? I seemed to be flirting with the scout when I discovered (yet another Grin) new area the other day

BearsDontDigOnDancing · 25/06/2017 19:16

Have recently started playing Diablo III, really enjoying it.

I sometimes go through a Civ III phase, have tried the newer Civilisation, but always go back to III.

Tried Guild Wars for a bit years ago, but could not get into it

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 25/06/2017 19:23

I was playing as Female Trevelyan warrior, romancing Cullen. That scene when he's naked in my bed.

SteamTrainsRealAleandOpenFires · 25/06/2017 19:25

Ex Nest of Vipers member here (Enotanib) waves

I dip in & out of games, but mainly play WoW.

CaptainHammer · 25/06/2017 19:26

@TheHeraldOfAndraste It took me awhile to get into it but I enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to WW2, back to how I first remember it (but with better graphics Grin)

Yes it's a Dr Horrible ref, I love it. Especially Felicia Day!

BearsDontDigOnDancing · 25/06/2017 19:27

I used to be in Nest of Vipers (Rebie) but it was a horde guild, and I have always played alliance tbf...so went back alliance, currently on Silvermoon.

Bokky · 25/06/2017 19:29

My dad is 65. If he's not on the golf course, he's on his PS4!

TheHeraldOfAndraste · 25/06/2017 19:36

The heart is the flirt option Crunchy. Arf at the well spoken Qunari.

I always seem to end up romancing Cullen. I start out thinking maybe Iron Bull or Blackwall this time but always go back to Cully. I think its cos of that scene Grin.

Captain have you tried the remastered Modern warfare?

Unadon · 25/06/2017 19:48

GrapesAreMyJam I too, play on alliance (because gnomes)! Mainly on Argent Dawn/Ravencrest though. Or well, at least I will be when I finally get to resubbing. Grin

TheWitchAndTrevor · 25/06/2017 19:51

I will look at WoW, but ESO is taking up quiet a lot of time Grin one day I'll finish the story line...........

I'm not a hack and slasher, more mage now I was sort of half an half in Skyrim, and relied on marcuro far too much for back up Blush
(Miss his constant chatter, even married him Wink )

EastMidsMummy · 25/06/2017 19:53

EastMidsMummy He met us IRL - there's a difference there. We've always all been talking either through text chat or voice comms, so that's hardly not being social.

No, but it's second best to actually meeting people.

To be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with anyone spending a day playing video games, but I would be concerned if video gaming the only 'social' interaction they get.

Biker47 · 25/06/2017 19:59

I'm 29 and have a spare bedroom in my house with 25 consoles and hundreds of games in there :/
