To fuck OFF.

Many examples recently of people appointing themselves thread curator and being rude, annoying and pointy finger ish to other posters who disagree with them.

It annoys me more than it should.

Eek.

HTH is awful.

Lweji · 24/06/2017 17:41

I haven't read that one, but the one where people kept posting that others were keeping the thread going is quite funny (even if I was told I wasn't Sad). Oh, well...

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:41

Did you High? Sad Was it a PBP? They like those.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:42

I did a Confused face once and got told I must have thought they were a twat. But I was genuinely confused. Then their thread went pooft.

It was Lweji I liked your joke.

Highalert

I am sad that an honest-to-goodness smile is now only ever perceived as PA.

You end up having to go over the top and grinning when a polite smile is all you wanted to convey, just so you don't end up coming over as supercilious

UrsulaPandress · 24/06/2017 17:43

Where is this thread of which you speak?

NotYoda · 24/06/2017 17:43

see?

Makes me look like an over-enthusiastic loonpants

Hmm

HTH.

KatieScarlett · 24/06/2017 17:45

Sparkling darling, you are so luffly. Confused is the international code for twat. I read it somewhere so it must be true.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:45

If in doubt grin. Grin

My one and only deletion was for sarcasm. Apparently if I had added a smiley of some sort it would have been ok. Who knew 'you must be very proud' could cause such offence.

But how would 'You must be very proud' Grin be better. Confused

Lweji · 24/06/2017 17:46

It was Lweji I liked your joke.

You must have a terrible sense of humour then. Grin

Triple burn, then?

OlennasWimple · 24/06/2017 17:47

Is there a phone number to call to log things with the thread police?

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 17:47

The fucking sarcasm police!

They ruin everything.

NotYoda · 24/06/2017 17:48

Sparkling

Yes. There's no fun in sarcasm if you have to point it out with a bloomin' great sign

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:49

I did not know sarcasm was against Talk Guidelines. I protested as I liked being the Gary Lineker of MN but no, my deletion was final.

It still rankles can you tell? Angry

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 17:50

I really thought this was going to be a bunfight and get deleted for being a TAAT.

My MNdar needs adjusting.

Highalert · 24/06/2017 17:51

I just dived in with my post without RTFT Grin

NotYoda · 24/06/2017 17:51

It's very sad

Like having to say (lighthearted) in AIBU for fear of literally being strung up.

Highalert · 24/06/2017 17:52

I remember when Maryz got deleted for calling someone pompous. She was outraged.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:52

Let me find my AIBU thread about muckspreading. If only I had put lighthearted in the title.
