To fuck OFF.

Many examples recently of people appointing themselves thread curator and being rude, annoying and pointy finger ish to other posters who disagree with them.

It annoys me more than it should.

Surely a thread curator can only hang out in Zombie threads like a museum curator.

Is it more of a thread 'caretaker'?

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 17:21

I don't know what a PARD IS!

please tell me.

e1y1 · 24/06/2017 17:21

YANBU - there is always one who thinks they own the thread, MN and then the entire internet.

Ignore them.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:22

Or a 'thread concierge' who you have to report to before posting?

KatieScarlett · 24/06/2017 17:22

Anyone want a rolo mousse? Only 80 calories of disappointment.

centreyourself · 24/06/2017 17:22

Go no contact, anyone?
That's the answer to anyone awkward you come across, I think ...

MaQueen · 24/06/2017 17:22

More importantly navy what do Thread Curators wear...

I'm thinking some sort of beige, polyester tabard and orthopeadic shoes...?

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:22

PARD=Polite And Reasonable Discussion

centreyourself · 24/06/2017 17:22

Family or otherwise.

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 17:22

Yeah, caretaker might be more accurate.

Or groundsperson?

Or possibly security guard.

RaspberryBeretHoopla

I decided to post the IA comments and then RTFT. That's the way to do it. Because nobody will have said anything interesting before me. And that's a fact.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 24/06/2017 17:23

I'm just going to perch myself here for the inevitable MNHQ comment.

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 17:23

I like concierge

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:23

Oh no Katie Sad you want a Waitrose individual Black Forest Trifle. Though could be worse you could be eating one of the Jaffa Cake desserts.

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 17:24

Mmmmm

Tiny desserts.

Concierge is a French term. If you're Brexiting, do it properly.

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 17:25

Fair point Lweji

KatieScarlett · 24/06/2017 17:26

I do Sparkling, but Waitrose is a 40 min drive away, I have post holiday D&V and the Rolo Mousse of disappointment is all I have Sad

Highalert · 24/06/2017 17:26

I will go and read the drunk husband thread and post on it.I'm always right about everything so there will be no need for anyone else to post on it

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 17:26

'Thread Receptionist'? Fixed smile and robotic in nature?

NotYoda · 24/06/2017 17:27

I expect I'm one of them

I'm always suggesting people read the thread

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 17:28

Not

That's not policing! That's encouraging research.

OP posts:
Highalert · 24/06/2017 17:29

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 17:29
