To suggest there is no actual radoxing way to get comfy in a bath?

Had a swanky new bath in the bathroom. Obvs . It's very wide.

I've never been a bath fan, probably because of been rather ahem sturdy, touch opportunity for wibbly wobbly navel gazing.

But new bath, shrinking body, I thought why tfh not?

Shoitsters it's uncomfortable!

Currently sitting up after trying on my back, on my front, recovery position (better than expected actually). So now what? Give it up?

Anyone successful in the Art of Comfy Bathery?

I find baths relaxing I lie on my back with knees bent and feet resting on the end

Did you try the bath before you had it installed? I hopped into them in the showroom on MN advice, lots were surprisingly uncomfortable. Obviously I looked like a tit but my bath is comfy

Did you take the packaging off before running the water and getting in?

I loves a bath. Probably not hindered by being 5ft 0.

We have had a new bathroom (and obvs bath) over two years now. I've had two baths in it. Why wallow in a hard tub full of dirty water waiting for the water to turn cold when you can jump in and out of a lovely steaming shower in 10 mins

Anything other than an enamel bath is uncomfortable. Most modern baths are plastic with very sharp edges, they look great but are no good for a lovely long soak with a good book.

My bath is large. The only comfy way is to sit sideways. Cross legged. And lean back against the wall.

Actually not really comfy but better than thrashing around trying to find purchase lengthways.

I have one, maybe two baths a year. I just can't get comfy. I've had achey meck/back shoulder problems for years and thought it was just that I wasn't comfy anywhere, but now that's pretty much much sorted and I still struggle. Shame as I love being enveloped by hot water.

Maybe a bath the size of a swimming pool that would allow me to free float on my back would be good though.

Last time I had a bath I accidentally left the shower hose underwatwr, with cold water running in the whole time. So I was topping up with hot to no avail for about half an hour before I gave up and got out, then realised what I'd done. Very upsetting.

The bath's too hard against my back and I don't know whether to lean back or sit up and where to put my neck, had to ask my family members who like baths how to do it hahaa

Rip it out and put in a huge walk in shower. I hate baths.

My bath is exceptionally comfy. It's the height of luxury wallowing in it for an hour, almost submerged by lovely bubbles, having a really good soak. Think some of you must be minging if your bath water is dirty.
I just lean back with my head resting on one end. Glass of wine if I'm feeling really reckless, good book or sometimes mumsnet. Can't beat it.

Have you got the water really deep?

On your front floating with hands on the bottom of the bath can be weirdly zen.

I imagine it's hard work to lie comfortably in a bath if you're short though as how do you stop yourself slipping under the water?!

If I didn't have my weekly bath I'd be certifiable. I have it on a Saturday afternoon with candles, wine, music and a book. It is my one complete indulgence. Luckily DP uses that time to play PlayStation so we are both happy

I am also of wobbly tum OP but a good book and a glass of wine and generous lighting stop me from caring

Er Irene either you have a swimming pool for a bath or you're a hobbit .

Glass of wine (sob cannot do that anymore)
Decent book or relaxing music. If music only candles for the light. And some Badedas. Get the water as hot as you can to sit in, then top up with even hotter water.
Eventually pull the plug. Wash with some oilutum and rinse off under the shower.
