I think she'd be brilliant! Anyone else reckon it might happen?

I think she's a really normal and hard working person. I think she'd do us proud.

She would need to learn not to stomp out of interviews like she just did though

DameDeDoubtance · 12/06/2017 17:33

She comes across well but her voting record shows she's like all the rest of 'em.

NoLotteryWinYet · 12/06/2017 17:36

No. Ecause brexit would kill her career - as a Scottish Tory remainer, if she got tarred with the crock of shit hard Brexit will be, it'd finish her in Scotland. Ruth needs to wait it out for a cross Party approach or for someone else to carry the can on Brexit - no glory there and a waste of a great politician.

Although if she could get the tories to do this:

A few months have passed since the last post. I wonder if you still hold the same view on Ms Davidson? Is it not apparent that she has been using the media for promoting herself? None of her interviews have challenged her in anyway, but instead have been used to prop her. Fair enough, for the viewer, she looks to be a breath of fresh air. Straight talking, assertive and almost loveable. Having watched her performance over the years, and if you have the patience to watch her performance in Scottish parliament, and her debates, you may also have been able to conclude that she lies (without shame) very well, that she has become mostly aggressive rather than assertive, and that she can play loveable, but she only turns on the charm to win. Do those attributes make her a good politician? She certainly isn't a weak politician, and may even be good for the Tories, who have lost their mojo. The Tories are now a party that stands for the extreme right and have attracted the support of some of the nastiest and most sectarian of types, which they needed for voter numbers. If and when Davidson heads south, I hope that she is the saviour, you have been wishing for.

@desb001

Wow, bumping up an old thread to bash Ruth Davidson and have a nasty swipe at the Tories. That's desperate. You do know do you not, that Corbyn and the rest of his pack are just as self serving as the Tories. I mean, they come out with all this 'equal Britain,' and 'fighting for everyone' line everytime, but they are just as bad as the Tories, every last one.

You are deluded if you think Corbyn gives a shit about you. He is as self serving as any Tory politician, he is a spoilt middle class brat, and he only keeps people around him who agree with everything he says. Hell will freeze over before I vote Labour with Corbyn as leader.

I still like Ruth, and would vote Tory if she was leader I would also vote Labour if she was the leader.

She’s still not a Westminster MP. That’s it, really.
