I think Theresa May has done the right thing in the circumstances. Resigning and forcing a leadership election at this point in time would cause unnecessary havoc so close to the beginning of the Brexit discussions.
As the BBC said, there may be a challenge to her over the summer recess.
I don't think she is deluded or acting like everything is rosy. She knows she has had a kicking, but at the end of the day she still has the ability and right and enough of a mandate to form a government with the DUP and that is what she has done.
It's classic Theresa May style. She's a no-nonsense, get on with the job person. It is her strength, and to some, her weakness.
She didn't get the majority that she hoped for, obviously, but the absolute numbers are not a disaster.
In 2010 Cameron formed the coalition with just 306 Conservative seats - 12 fewer than TM. And they then went on to that much bigger majority in 2015.
Actually I think good for her. Much easier to do a Cameron and bail out for an easier life.
In many ways she is perfectly demonstrating those British values and spirit she has always espoused - if you get knocked back you pick yourself up, brush yourself down and get back out there in the game...
Funny how when Corbyn was getting knocked down and came back, again and again, he was considered a hero, but when May does it she is 'out of touch' or 'deluded'.
Two sides of every coin.
Good for her, I say.
