Pain, with respect to your link to the trumps taking money from kids charities, what I am finding amazing, is that it won't matter. Every day something comes up that makes you think, wow, that can't be beaten, and every day there's something new. I've not really followed politics heavily before, and certainly not American politics, but I'm sure it was never l ok me this. It's reality tv but with repercussions.

Sleipnirthewonderhorse it is frightening. I know when he was inaugurated, lots of people stressed the importance of not normalising this but trump's tactic of creating bigger atrocities to change the narrative means it's impossible to focus on them all at once, and so almost by default, they go unchallenged and become "accepted", in the sense that there aren't any consequences for him. Hopefully the slow turning wheels of the judiciary and constitution catch up with some of the egregious acts and dispenses some justice. Keep persevering though, it's a long game.

Damn, would have been an opportune moment to say keep persisting!

There's have been reports that trump is unhappy why aessions recused himself, leading to the appointment of the special prosecutor. Is he planning on getting rid of sessions, appointing a new "untainted" AG who can then be involved in interfering with any trump-Russia investigation? I think in theory mueller is answerable to rosensteon, the deputy AG, and not sessions because sessions has reused himself but if there's a new AG, would mueller then resort to him?

Multiple typos - it's completely garbled! Blush Let's try again:

I think Agent Orange has completely lost touch with reality now. He is lashing out blindly in all directions like a cornered rat.

His tweets will be what finally brings him down, I am sure. He will go due to "ill health"

I am very much hoping no one confiscates his phone.

I don't think he'll manage to appoint a new and 'untainted' AG. Anybody who replaces Sessions has to be not only happy about the position but cleaner than a clean squeaky thing - and he's not doing so well with a new FBI Head is he?

Yes to Comey adding to the cracks rather than bringing it crashing down. The connections and the corruption make for such a tangled web that it will involve lots of agencies and a water-tight case to get this done properly.

But I am optimistic that it will be done.Smile

I agree with that article cozie. Comey is nothing if not discreet and he does not strike me as the type to blow the lid off something sensitive intel-wise in public as revenge for being fired. He may have some damaging information, but he's not going to share it with us.

Comey will refute Trump's assertions that he told him he wasn't under investigation and possibly correct a few other, erm, 'misstatements' by Trump. Trump will tweet throughout attacking Comey's credibility and/or memory with a possible 'liar liar pants on fire' or 'sour grapes because I fired him' tweet in there somewhere. Fox & Co and the Trumpettes will blart about 'Trump says he's a liar, therefore he's a liar' or words to that effect. Trump will twist statements on MSM news reports shouting 'Fake News' and 'Lame Media'. We'll all digest what Comey said and hope beyond hope that it adds some big bricks to the Great Wall of Impeachability.

In other words, business as usual in Trump's America.
