Not sure if this has been linked to yet, but SCROTUS dropped a clanger at his press conference yesterday!

twitter.com/nbcnightlynews/status/873271359480246272

Question: Were visa waivers discussed?

Pres. Trump: "We didn't discuss it."

Romanian Pres. Iohannis: "Yes ... I mentioned this issue."

CaveMum · 10/06/2017 07:53

Still no video of Adam Hills Trump comment, but it basically started with "Fuck Off" and ended with this:

Lweji · 10/06/2017 09:20

That old loud sniff at the end of the visa waiver answer by the Romanian President. Grin

He wasn't comfortable at all.

More on the recent increase in followers of 45's Twitter accounts.

‘Something fishy’ is going on with Trump’s Twitter account, researchers say
www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2017/05/31/something-fishy-is-going-on-with-trumps-twitter-account-researchers-say/?tid=hybrid_experimentrandomuk_2_na&utm_term=.9e1748c699d4

"'In my expert opinion, something strange is going on,” said Samuel C. Woolley, research director for the Computational Propaganda project at Oxford University. “It’s consistent with other strange things that have gone on before with this politician’s Twitter feed.'
...
"There is a strangely large percentage of Trump’s followers — and especially his newest followers — that have only the most rudimentary account information, with no profile picture, few followers and little sign that they have ever tweeted. These are so-called “egg followers” because instead of a profile photo they traditionally carried the image of a blank egg on Twitter account pages.
...
"SocialRank, a New York-based analytics company that works with Southwest Airlines, L’Oreal and the NFL, reported this week that as Trump’s number of followers surged from 24.1 million in February to 31 million in May, his number of “egg followers” grew sharply as well, from 5 million to 9.1 million. Of that group, more than half have never tweeted and only 4 percent have 25 or more followers; 927,000 of Trump’s egg followers opened new accounts in May, according to SocialRank’s analysis posted Tuesday."

Oh Yes. Smile You just have to keep an eye on it.

originalbiglymavis · 10/06/2017 11:40

I suspect more followers because it is pure comedy gold.

lionheart · 10/06/2017 12:06

This is straight out of a spy novel:

AcrossthePond55 · 10/06/2017 13:13

I expect that if you dropped all the 'non-believers' from Scrotus' Twatter (not a type) account, the numbers would drop considerably. I'm sure any number of foreign govts, media outlets, businesses, and anti-Trump organizations follow him pretty much out of necessity. Then you have the people who do so to keep informed of his insanity and 'comedy gold'.

I follow the account someone mentioned above 'unfollow trump' so I can see his tweets but not be counted among his followers.

Any 'testimony' by Trump will be a combination of 'matter of national security' refusals and his usual not answering questions by going off on a tangent, turning it into an ego rant, or making a counter-accusation. TBH, if he does testify it won't be in open session. Or at the very least, the questions will have been presubmitted and his answers carefully prepared.

Interesting analogy when applied to Trumpie and Comey's interactions.

It's like Comey didn't have to have evaluated Trump in that first meeting. Everyone already knew Trump was a liar, a con and would twist things. No wonder he felt compelled to keep notes. I'm surprised he didn't tape it, although he may have but just report the notes.

Jeff Sessions & Mike Pence are in deep trouble after that Comey testimony-both part of a Flynn coverup. #TrumpRussia

edition.cnn.com/2017/06/09/opinions/comey-testimony-shows-anti-trump-witch-hunt-scaramucci/index.html

The Comey hearing ended up being a bust for those Democrats peddling conspiracy theories about Trump and Russia, and even more embarrassing for the media outlets fueling that hysteria with inaccurate reporting.

Haven't checked in for a while. Have we moved onto something else yet? I assume we have.

Keep coping.

GingerIvy · 10/06/2017 17:52

Scaramucci is clearly delusional. Hmm

cozietoesie · 10/06/2017 17:56

Sessions is in a ..........position, now, indeed.

TammySwanson · 10/06/2017 18:00

Posting an opinion piece by someone who works for Trump (and has just been promoted to a new and shiny job by him) is, like, literally PROOF that there's nothing in it.

CaveMum · 10/06/2017 18:17

Anyone else see J K Rowling's tirade against another author after he called Theresa May a "whore" on Twitter? It went like this:

"Just unfollowed a man whom I thought was smart and funny, because he called Theresa May a whore.

If you can’t disagree with a woman without reaching for all those filthy old insults, screw you and your politics.

I’m sick of "liberal" men whose mask slips every time a woman displeases them, who reach immediately for crude and humiliating words associated with femaleness, act like old-school misogynists and then preen themselves as though they’ve been brave.

When you do this, Mr Liberal Cool Guy, you ally yourself, wittingly or not, with the men who send women violent pornographic images and rape threats, who try by every means possible to intimidate women out of politics and public spaces, both real and digital.

Whore and, naturally, rape. We’re too ugly to rape, or we need raping, or we need raping and killing.

Every woman I know who has dared express an opinion publically has endured this kind of abuse at least once, rooted in an apparent determination to humiliate or intimidate her on the basis that she is female.

If you want to know how much fouler it gets if you also happen to be black or gay, ask Diane Abbot or Ruth Davidson.

I don’t care whether we’re talking about Theresa May or Nicola Sturgeon or Kate Hooey or Yvette Cooper or Hillary Clinton.

Femaleness is not a design flaw. If your immediate response to a woman who displeases you is to call her a synonym for her vulva, or compare her to a prostitute, then drop the pretence and own it - you’re not a liberal.

You’re a few short steps away from some guy hiding behind a cartoon frog."

Bravo that lady!

ayylmaooo · 10/06/2017 18:17

Lmao, every single Trump/Russia article is an opinion piece. There isn't a single shred of evidence to support the claims. Drumpf was supposed to be FINISHED after the Comey testimony, now the media are moving the goalposts.

Hopefully we have moved past this silliness the next time I pop in.

originalbiglymavis · 10/06/2017 18:19

Who was the author?
Not keep on her books but love her tweets and commentary!

TammySwanson · 10/06/2017 18:29

There isn't a single shred of evidence to support the claims.

Wow, I didn't realise you were part of the investigation! Glad you are here to keep us up to date, look forward to hearing more from those on the inside.

PerkingFaintly · 10/06/2017 18:30

A lot of us on this thread watched the actual testimony...

We don't need any media commentary to tell us what was in it.
