To think that I was not being a pussy over this huge spider? (Picture of spider included)

Okay I know the body isn't big but look at its long, horrible legs! This was on my curtain earlier and I didn't notice until I was watching TV and saw something move out the corner of my eye. I felt sick and called bf wailing in horror about the disgusting thing and he told me I was being a pussy and to be a man and just kill it. Well I didn't kill it (as I don't kill insects or the like except wasps and only if they sting me first) and managed to capture it into a cup under a thick magazine (feeling sick all the time!!) and released it outside. Bf said I was overreacting drama queen making it a big deal out of nothing though did say he didn't expect it to be that big when I sent him the pic!! WIBU if this spider got its way in again to capture it in a tub and wait til bfs here dozing off to sleep and then unleash it to crawl over his face to see if it's not such a big deal!?

Yes this is lighthearted and really just a reason to say look at how gross that spider is! ShockGrin

I'd've set fire to my house and left op!

McDougal · 02/06/2017 22:54

Yes, unleash it on his face. It's the only way he'll learn.

FatOldBag · 02/06/2017 22:55

YANBU

MulderitsmeX · 02/06/2017 22:55

All i have to say is - ITS FANGS!!!!! ughghgh

peekyboo · 02/06/2017 22:56

That's a giant house spider! They eat their own kind and other spiders and like to live in holes in the wall and secret corners of your bedroom.
A bit like Aliens, they learn too - we had a 5 legged one hobbling round the hall for weeks because it learnt all our tricks to try and catch it. In the end I caught it and put it in the garden, it was back in the house the next day..
And they're attracted by noise so try to scream silently.

TheRealLemonLyman · 02/06/2017 22:56

Fuck that - it will come back in the house with its mates. You should have killed it dead then burnt the house down!

PurpleMinionMummy · 02/06/2017 22:56

You know it will come back? Those beasts often have a habit of reappearing Shock.

RedBugMug · 02/06/2017 22:57

yabu
it's a spider, not a sabre tooth tiger.

mortificado · 02/06/2017 22:58

Holy fucking shit.
Why the hell did you release that beast!!!!

PeaFaceMcgee · 02/06/2017 22:58

Aieeeee! One of those took me by surprise by dropping onto my shoulder and Ru across my chest.

Cue me leaping off the sofa and tearing all my clothes off - it scuttled out of the pile and we caught it.

Mahooosive things. Shudder.

PeaFaceMcgee · 02/06/2017 22:59

*running

MissionItsPossible · 02/06/2017 23:00

I wouldn't mind if I was from Australia or the like and expected to have to put up with these creatures but I'm in the UK surely it is too cold for these vile things to grow this big and terrorise us in our own homes!? SadWink

One like that ran across my living room the other night. I caught him and put him out in the garden...... He was back the next day! Ran across the room again, laughing.

They have homing devices I think.

softjellyjunglecustard · 02/06/2017 23:05

Ewwwwwwwww yanbu yanbu yanbu!!!

You got a grip, caught it and removed it humanely. If you may have squeaked a bit while doing it then that's between you and your own self-esteem - it's your actions that count.

HerRoyalFattyness · 02/06/2017 23:12

AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH

KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE

IDontBowlOnShabbos · 02/06/2017 23:17

Ahh it's cute. Make it some little booties and a jacket, it'll look cuter.

In all seriousness my mum told me, in front of my daughter! That we shouldn't put house spiders outside because they will die. I have to chuck them out like I'm doing a covert ops now.

fannydaggerz · 02/06/2017 23:18

That's huge.

I would run away from it or call someone else to get it for me.

RedStripeIassie · 02/06/2017 23:21

Spiders are ok by me. Bastarding wasps are the real enemy.

Mommawoo · 02/06/2017 23:25

Fucking hell Shock

If that thing appeared in my house and dp wasn't here I think I would have to call the police.

Thekitten · 02/06/2017 23:50

Awww lookit, it's so cute!!! :D I love spiders :3

SnickersWasAHorse · 02/06/2017 23:58

Meh, it's fine. It could fuck off if it wanted to run about on me.
But if it's just going to stomp about the gaff then let it carry on.

teenybean · 03/06/2017 00:03

We've had several of these in our house, dd(3) loves them & tells me how cute & lovely they are, & tries to stroke them (whilst I'm discreetly being sick in my mouth!) If dp is here, he gets called to put them outside, if he's not here, I try to catch them (whilst sweating & screaming quietly to myself!) to put outside, but the kids always have to say bye to them first! That's right, I'm raising little weirdos! Lol

DontTouchTheMoustache · 03/06/2017 00:03

And they're attracted by noise so try to scream silently.

The most terrifying sentence I've ever read
