To be considering voting Tory to make them accountable for Brexit

I'm an ardent Remainer albeit a life long Tory voter and, when the GE was called I was adamant I wouldn't vote to endorse TMs plans.

Given Corbyns complete failure to acknowledge Brexit I don't want to vote for him (even though he is coming out of this campaign far better than TM).

But even if I didn't think that, it seems to me Labour winning would be the worst situation because, when the realisation that we can't have our cake and eat it hits with regard to the Brexit negotiations, it will be blamed on Labour not being 'strong and stable'.

I'm now thinking a vote to make the Tories accountable might not be such a bad thing?

I think if I was in a safe seat for any party, I'd vote Lib Dem because an upsurge in the Lib Dem vote will make the point clearer than any ballot that not everyone is OK with Brexit and maybe soften the 'the people want a hard brexit' rhetoric.

I can't really believe anyone thinks Theresa May would be a better negotiator for Brexit than Jeremy Corbyn. Or that he would be less likely to secure a deal. We dont have a strong hand. We need to emphasise the common interest and build a plan that works for both parties. Stamping our feet and expecting everything for nothing will see us crash out.

That said, I kind of agree with OPs original post. I think whoever presides over brexit will be out of government for a long time come the next election so a slim Tory majority would have some perks

I'm an ardent remainer and voting Corbyn. Why? Because I realise we had the vote and my side lost - that's democracy. I hate remainers who are sanctimonious and think they know better, so Brexit just shouldn't happen because they've decided so.

I personally think Brexit will be a huge disaster, but it's what a majority wanted. I feel we'll get a better deal out of Labour's Brexit than any other. Why? Because the Tories are going into the negotiations and seeing the EU as enemies. Labour aren't. The Lib Dems would roll over and accept a ton of things that are worse than what we have now, and we'll be in a worse situation.

The fallout from Brexit will be blamed on Labour anyway. Much the same as the rising debt is blamed on Labour still. The cuts are all Labours fault, and so on. Even though most experts agree that cuts are Very Bad for a struggling economy...

I really do not care who is blamed for brexit. I just want the best future for our country and our children's futures.
