To think he should be clear?

Dh has been on a diet for ages, every week he requests 'just chicken/steak/fish, green veg and eggs'

Every week he mopes around because all he has is chicken, green veg and eggs. Every week I throw out uneaten veg.

This week he has requested fish. Simply fish, no specifics in to how much or what type.
There's a whole fucking ocean out there, would it kill him to be specific?

He comes out with the phrase 'why is it all my other friends wives do a quick bit of research in to the diet and buy it for them?' and I want to punch him in the face.

Aibu to think if you are on a specific diet and not buying your own food you should be specific with the person buying it?

Does he work 12 hours a day and you have no 24 hour supermarkets available, is that why you have to do everything for him as though he's an overgrown child?

And the absolute cheek of asking you to buy steak for him then telling you to keep the food bill down!

Do yourself a favour and withdraw all involvement in his diet. Unless he genuinely can't access the shops because he has a disability, let him get on with it. In fact why can't Mr Fussy do the full grocery shop?

Mines "on a diet" which involves eating a bowl of soup at lunchtime and coming home starving. We always have eaten at about 8 and I refuse to reorganise MY routine to accommodate this though I am trying to make dinner a little bit earlier. It's annoying. He is grumpy and eats crisps and stuff instead. I have suggested he can crack on with it the minute he is through the door...

*Erm...

Get him a TARDIS? He can boogie back to the 50s.*

This with bells on - made me giggle so much Grin
