Well I think after the care cap thing, we can now see that it is not May 'running the country'. She's been told what to do by big party bosses who are scared of losing control because of a poll wobble. She's going to really regret this and naughty George Osborne is getting his revenge at last.

If she seriously didn't think it was worth trying to repair her relationship with Osborne before he got his hands on a mass circulation title she has no idea about how to negotiate Brexit (and it's awful consequences) either. Latest Evening Standard headline: "Strong and Stable? PM's Care U-Turn Turmoil".

The thought of Corbyn taking over is a very scary concept. The EU would shaft us, the Unions would have more days with strikes than without (because they own Labour) and we'd be bankrupt.

Just been speaking to my mum who has voted conservative all her life, reads the daily mail and watches BBC news and she's telling me what a brilliant guy Corbyn is and how he has principles. I'm waiting another week or so before I ask if she's changing her vote to labour but I'm gobsmaked, never thought it was remotely possible 😂

Sadly I've known two or three people who haven't survived the last 7 years of Tory rule & austerity. I'm not convinced me & the kids will be able to cope with another Tory majority. I don't know where we'd go, but we wouldn't be able to stay where we are.

I'm desperately worried about my (non-British) mum being asset stripped/deported.

I'm increasingly concerned about what's going on with the NHS.

So yes, I'll be voting, hoping & praying on June 8th that it's anything but a Tory majority.

If labour win Keir Starmer will be doing the negotiations for brexit and he's an expert on the EU and European law, we would get a far better deal with him than May and Boris

People have DIED as a result of cuts to support services and benefits. They have actually died. How much worse can it be?!

There was a thread recently about a mysterious £500 service charge which an entire road was paying. When the OP pointed out that it may be a scam, most have refused to believe it and said they will not stop paying in case they fall behind.

I am not going to vote Tory or Labour and am far from impressed by Corbyn and his close allies. However I see very little evidence that May is strong and stable, she has shown no ability to stick to an idea that is unpopular with the right wing press for more than a few days.

I think the EU will shaft us regardless of our government as we hold very few cards. Both parties are full of senior people I don't want negotiating for me.

I think the u turn is a sign that she doesn't like the way the polls are going.

Why would the EU 'shaft us'? May et al have been doing this little tease...only we can get a 'good deal' but clueless. As soon as a bold policy (and I really do think it was a brave policy for a Tory) is in the manifesto, it is out again because of a wobble in the polls. This strong and stable stuff is an empty front and Merkel and Macron know it.

Corybn on the other hand...there is policy in the manifesto that doesn't align with his own beliefs but doesn't that show he will compromise? He hasn't changed his own beliefs for a hundred years but he does have principles.

Whenever you ask anyone to give evidence of may actually being strong and stable they just tell 'CORBYN IS SHIT WAH WAH'

Also I think the conservatives need to be having a good old look at themselves; if Davey C was still in charge I reckon the gap between Torres and labour would be much higher. I also think if Milliband was still labour leader then May would be in trouble. She really isn't likeable. There is arguably a large portion of traditional labour voters who are abandoning them at this election but it doesn't look as if they are voting Tory either.

I think we are unlikely to get a good deal as politically it is not in the eu interests to demonstrate that leaving the eu is beneficial. Also I think we have limited negotiation power. We have started on a very uncertain path with no clear idea what we want to achieve so I cannot see how we are likely to gain much. I doubt the eu wants a destabilised uk on it's border but looking after us is not their concern.
