To ask DH to shave my pubes?!

34 weeks pregnant. It's fucking impossible! Should I ask him or are there some things that even husband and wife shouldn't share?

Lighthearted relating to the struggles of late pregnancy!

I had heard they shave you in theatre( I was having a CS) and wanted to avoid that.

two EMCSes here, in two different countries, completely au naturel (and I'm a fairly hairy person, so it's luxuriant!), on one they used some trimmers right at the top (so left it about 1/2cm long, less than an inch down from the top) and for the other didn't do anything - certainly didn't shave the lot!

How does anyone see down there even without a bump? I do mine all (well the back bits) by touch Blush What am I missing?

I just wouldn't trust him. I've seen him hack at his face lol its a mirror job for me

n0ne · 21/05/2017 10:36

I don't bother shaving mine but if I did, I'd totes ask DH. There are no places he wouldn't go for me! Grin

Well I asked him last night and he said "I'd rather not" ha ha so will just leave it a few more weeks!

Like I said, this was definitely ment to be a light hearted post and I couldn't care less what the midwives think..I shat myself last time and didn't even care! I just prefer to be tidy down there in general. Each to their own and all that.

Why do people remove their pubes? I'm really interested. What's wrong with pubes?

Why do women remove leg and armpit hair? Pluck their eyebrows? Wax their upper lip?

Fashion. Social construct. Personal preferences. Preferences of DP.

Why do you care?

fuzzywuzzy · 21/05/2017 11:57

If you get it waxed be careful I had mine done at 37 weeks and my skins really sensitive (due to pregnancy), so it hurt unlike normal when it doesn't.

Also threaded 'tache and my face went red due to skin sensitivity in pregnancy.

But it's done and I'm ready for this baby to arrive now (she seems happy to stay put tho).

I remove my hair because I want to, it feels better to me. I couldn't care less what my husband or midwife think of me. My husband has promised once I get big enough he will help, I'm starting to struggle with it at the moment!

You may get a bit of hair shaved for C's section to allow the sterile drape to stick.
