I stayed up to watch the 1st 2 episodes at stupid o'clock.... I am not disappointed!
Won't give any spoilers, but will just say there was only one element I didn't particularly like...

Waiting for DH to get back from work before I can watch anything. I read that the first 4 episodes are available on catch up already?! Can anyone confirm?

I haven't read past page 4 as trying to avoid reading any spoilers until I can watch it so this may have been mentioned.

Have any of you seen the Psych episode that is based around TP? The episode was called "Dual Spires" - see what they did there?? It's worth having a look. Several of the original cast are in it.

No spoilers here but...

Episodes 1 & 2 are as weird as Lynch has ever given us and for about half of it it doesn't feel like TP at all. For good reasons I'm not going into. Two brief cameos from a legendary character had this grown man shedding a year.

Episode 3 felt a bit more TP. Wasn't really until Episode 4 that it hit it's stride and focused on some real favourite characters. Added to which, bloody hilarious. Funniest TV I've seen in a long time and as close to TV genius as you can get.

Not enough in TP itself or older characters yet but that's clearly about to change having set the scene. Have a feeling after taking a while to get into it, it's going to be fabulous.

Ok....so whereas the original TP danced around the surface and drew you in with high school plotlines, this one throws you in at the deep end with the mad shit. Bonkers. The evolution of the arm?! Love it

Episodes one and two were very good. Pure lynchian weirdness. But no charm and quirkiness that I loved about the original twin peaks.

All of Episode 3 and half of 4 were purely hideous. Worst tv I've ever watched (and I'm a die hard lynch fan). Not weird enough. Not quirky. Not funny. Not.... anything. No atmosphere. Lacking score. Really disappointed.

Parts of 4 feels as though 5 onwards could start to be more like the original (but hopefully with the weirdness of episodes 1 and 2)

I've watched them all early hours of this morning, up until the latest episode as they were so good!

I'm not sure exactly what on earth was going on, but I thought they were all bloody brilliant!
