And I am so excited and overwhelmed I think I might wet myself and cry a bit.

25 years since Twin Peakes did something to my impressionable teenage self.

Monday morning 2am. Cherry pie and a damn fine cup of coffee.

Thought I would join you as I have just finished watching the original.

Trying out a Dale Cooper special new name :)

So far talking myself out of getting up at 2am.......

Found it funny how my perspective has changed. Last time my flatmate and I were far more interested in the 'kids' (she had a major Bobby Briggs crush).

This time round the kids were rather annoying and the Major was really interesting! So sad the actor died - I'm sure Briggs would have played a big part.

Dulcimena · 21/05/2017 19:20

Yes! ITA re about perspectives changing over the 25 years. Agree that the whole Major storyline was v interesting, and the high school kids stuff was not really, this time around. Also I love Audrey's character far more now than I did when I was a teenager, she slightly annoyed me then but now I think she is just brilliant.

ASmallBoxofChocolateBunnies · 21/05/2017 19:36

Yes agree - Audrey always annoyed me previously, but really enjoyed her character this time round.

And she and Billy Zane just had the most perfect eyebrows.....

MissionItsPossible · 21/05/2017 19:43

I am so excited for this. I must admit the second season gets very boring after the murderer is revealed but oh my god the last episode is so good and scary! I really hope this revival isn't awful.

C8H10N4O2 · 21/05/2017 19:58

I am simultaneously ridiculously excited and full of dread that it will be a let down. Have been rewatching over the last week or so and craving cherry pie!

Also will not be able to watch until tomorrow and wondering how to avoid spoilers!

TheLogLady · 21/05/2017 20:01

I have fitted in about 6 of the first series.
I might have to be brave and watch the last one again before tomorrow. Although I want to cry just thinking about it.

I doubt I'll be awake at 2am so will get up early and watch tomorrow.

Aww, Miguel Ferrer is dead, too. He is in the new series, though, he died after it was filmed.

maddening · 21/05/2017 20:20

I just want to know how it went after the "where's Annie" scene - sooooooo excited!

Elphame · 21/05/2017 20:30

Oh is Twin Peaks coming back? I loved that series!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/05/2017 20:37

I can't remember if I watched the second season or not. I'm thinking of waiting to watch the new ones after I've watched seasons one and two. I don't want to wait though!

RJnomore1 · 21/05/2017 20:54

Ooh I had black and white brogues

I had quite forgotten

Nostalgic sigh...

treaclesoda · 21/05/2017 21:02

What was the name of the actor who played Bobby? (I think it was Bobby. Young, floppy hair, angst, leather jacket type). I was about 15 when it was on TV and I remember thinking he was lovely. And that I wanted to look like Madchen Amick. Blush

TheLogLady · 21/05/2017 21:05

Dana something?

OP posts:
TheLogLady · 21/05/2017 21:08

Dana Ashbrook. Google him. He's,gone grey! Shock

OP posts:
treaclesoda · 21/05/2017 21:13

I'm scared to Google him because I reckon that 40 something eyes will look back at what he looked like and think 'how could I have thought he was good looking?!'. It's best to keep the memories where they belong Grin

TheLogLady · 21/05/2017 21:15

Oh he's still looking damn fine.

OP posts:
PhyllisNights · 21/05/2017 21:16

I'm pregnant and have work tomorrow so I need to get a full night's rest, but I've got it on record to watch tomorrow evening!

How sad that the actress behind Log Lady is dead, would love to have seen her introduce the episodes!

treaclesoda · 21/05/2017 21:18

Oh, he IS looking fine.

This makes me a bit sad in a way. We're kind of conditioned to men improving with age and women just getting...older.

TheLogLady · 21/05/2017 21:23

Ok. Last episode watched. I'd forgotten just how bonkers it was.
I am thinking the Cooper that came out of the lodge is a doppelgänger and the real cooper is still in there. With all the weird curtains and odd dancing and screaming Laura.

So what has happened in the last 25 years? Has the doppelgänger been FBI-ing and doing bad stuff as has Bob in him? What about Annie? Was Audrey blown up? Lucy's baby will be grown up!!!

StoorieHoose · 21/05/2017 21:36

I've binge rewatched both series and I'm totally ready to become obsessed again like I was 27 years ago. chief Gordon Cole is one of my
most favourite characters along with Shelly

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 21/05/2017 22:14

Twin Peaks viewing snacks:
Have we all stocked up on enough (damn fine) coffee/ doughnuts/ cherry pie (no stalks)/ baguettes with brie and butter/ maple syrup ham...?

RJnomore1 · 22/05/2017 08:28

Aargh I can wait I'm going into work late so I can watch a bit!

MOIST · 22/05/2017 08:37

I'm ready. Waiting for D2 to bugger off to college so I don't get interrupted.
