Favourite forgotten threads

TheRealPooTroll · 16/05/2017 22:09

Inspired by a few cracking zombie threads that have popped up over the last few days I was wondering what peoples favourite forgotten threads are?
I remember one about 8 years ago from a woman who had a ONS and the guy hadn't been particularly vigilant in washing his arse which was hilarious (the thread - not the dirty arse obviously).
Would be great to link to some funny ones and also see if the posters are still on here and can update though perhaps not the one I mentioned

OP posts:
WowserBowser · 17/05/2017 21:06

I also liked the juggling mangoes one

MyPatronusIsAUnicorn · 17/05/2017 21:38

Glad you have updated us about GEG NoCapes, I wonder every time I 'see' you on here but don't like to ask.

I wonder about 'Preggers and Peng Cuzzi', same poster as lemon drizzle bitch. Those threads were always funny but they were in Chat so long gone.

NoCapes · 17/05/2017 21:44

Unicorn I don't mind, I get it a lot on random threads - poor GEG doesn't know he's dating half of MN Grin

AFingerofFudge · 17/05/2017 21:46

-The one where the poster put the dog poo in the woman's hood (she'd let her dog shit and wouldn't pick it up)

  • the one where there were people living in a car outside someone's house
  • the "weird things my body does " thread

Probably loads more ...

RaspberryOverloadsOnChilli · 17/05/2017 21:51

And there was a wonderful one once from someone who stuck garlic up her arse to kill threadworms but then was embarrassed about the terrible smell she left in the toilets at work.

I remember that one Grin I laughed so hard at the jokes I cried, and the DCs were asking what was wrong Grin

RaspberryOverloadsOnChilli · 17/05/2017 21:57

The malfunctioning DS was a funny thread, too.

Havalina · 17/05/2017 22:12

Does anyone remember an odd thread, which was basically a woman and a man talking about latin dancing or something?? It was basically an emotional affair laid out in public Confused. I'm not sure if I imagined it or not, was yonks ago.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 17/05/2017 22:15

I think I enjoyed the original lovely friend thread more than the spoof one.

Was it the one where the dh was having an affair and shagged ow in op's wedding dress?

Havalina · 17/05/2017 22:17

I also loved olympic horses and pouffe of poo. There was a funny thread in chat that had me wheezing, about ways in which pets have met unfortunate ends (funnier than it sounds). I think my favourite ever post tho is the woman who was in a food court and was randomly stroking someones coat, but turned out to be the next door ladies hair. Still makes me chuckle

RustyPaperclip · 17/05/2017 22:18

The thread about the people living in the car outside the OP's house distracted me when I was suffering from a bad anxiety attack caused by excessive caffeine consumption and I needed a distraction. It kept me distracted for hours and got me hooked on classics Smile

Flyinggeese · 17/05/2017 22:26

bibbitybobbityyhat yes! It had EVERYTHING.

Trunkisareshite · 17/05/2017 22:26

The cunt worms one that started with an epic name change fail. Probably in classics somewhere.

Highalert · 17/05/2017 22:29

The original NC fail thtesd was funnier.

Highalert · 17/05/2017 22:29

Thread*

DeadMorose · 17/05/2017 22:32

My favourite was penguin bollards one. The second best was about lunatic neighbour who kept stealing OPs cat.

RustyPaperclip · 17/05/2017 22:56

Also the chalet thread, I think it was linked to the Mexican house thief story

twisterinyogapants · 18/05/2017 10:52

First post I read was about someone wanting their fur coat back from their friend.

I korean lady one was lovely.

Anal fishing was brilliant for all the puns and serious op.

TheWhiteRoseOfYork · 18/05/2017 11:32

I never got closure on the thread about the DH who kept his garage locked and his DW wasn't allowed in. I often wonder if she is OK or if he had sinister reasons for keeping the garage locked Shock

On a lighter note there was a thread called 'Is my fridge Jewish?' because it went into Sabbath mode over the weekend or something similar. It was very funny.

TrickyD · 18/05/2017 13:13

There was a horrible one where the OP shared a flat in Ireland; her flatmate's uncle had died, and for some reason the flatmate intended to bring the coffined corpse to stay at the flat while the funeral was arranged. The OP was not keen on this plan.
Amazingly (to me, anyway) quite a few posters thought she was being unreasonable and it was perfectly normal to deposit a body in the living room of a non-relative. The outcome was never revealed.

NightWanderer · 18/05/2017 13:25

My favourite wedding one was where due to budget reasons the OP was only allowed to bring 2 of her 4 children to a wedding but she could choose which ones. Someone posted it was like Sophie's Choice with canapes. It was just so bonkers!

myoriginal3 · 18/05/2017 13:42

NoCapes - gis an update please?

DPotter · 18/05/2017 13:53

Pine Martins and Whales - priceless! Tears streaming down my face.....

DadDadDad · 18/05/2017 13:53

The TidyDancer bridezilla thread was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread's title. I'm linking to part 4 because within the first 30 posts you will find a couple of helpful summaries (including my over-invested compilation of the texts that had been sent between Tidy and the bride Blush ).

Can't believe that was 4 years ago!

ACurlyWurly · 18/05/2017 15:33

At 11pm Tuesday I started reading Mexican House Thief!

I HAVE JUST FINISHED!!

now to look at your other recommendations!

ChampagneSocialist1 · 18/05/2017 15:42

2 which appeared around xmas a few years ago: the lady who didn't want to go to her PILs for xmas as they played stupid games such as slapping each other's bums and throwing acorns at each other.

Also the OP whose dp Put the wellbeing of his dog and grown up child (in that order) before that of the OP and she wanted advice on whether to leave him or not
