50p army indeed? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50_Cent_Party

It's obvious, but remember to check the parties manifestos and make sure you are voting for the policies you agree with, and not just being influenced by the opinions of others and the politics of inevitability.

Well maybe you are - personally I don't give a flying flip who is with me or against me

That seems so naive to me. We are all influenced by society/people around us, I can't believe anybody would think for a minute they were't.

MagicTractor · 15/05/2017 19:41

I think the site has more positive comments on the Tories than I remember from the last election - I've read that "shy Tories" aren't as shy any more. Plus also Corbyn causes loads of debate which I think is fair enough as it does out of here too.

BurnTheBlackSuit · 15/05/2017 19:45

Claig was definitely not paid- their views were far too weird to be a help to anyone. Although I always wondered if Claig was Trump and is now a bit too busy for MN.

I wonder about everyone who uses the phrase "strong and stable" in their posts though...

citroenpresse · 15/05/2017 19:47

Someone accused me on another thread of being from Momentum. I didn't know whether to be miffed but actually, my computer has been behaving oddly ever since.

Bejazzled · 15/05/2017 19:51

Why is Claig they/their?

BurnTheBlackSuit · 15/05/2017 19:53

I used their because I don't know if it was a he or a she. Others believe it was a "bot" but I don't really understand what that is or how it works.

Bejazzled · 15/05/2017 19:55

Thanks burn 🙂

InfiniteSheldon · 15/05/2017 19:57

I've wondered recently if Momentum were paying posters, so many pro JC posts on Starbucks so not receive give of rl Interesting that others think right wing posters are paid. I think probably no one is paid but I always think the best of people

ExplodedCloud · 15/05/2017 19:57

We never did pin claig down to any level of personal info. Sex, age, country etc. Good fun though. Generally had a sense of humour and I'm sure there were occasional non political posts in other sections.
Isitme just felt like someone screaming at you whilst rubbing a copy of the Telegraph in your face.
ttosca has gone too I think.

KimKardashiansArse · 15/05/2017 19:58

YES!!!!!

I was just thinking to start this thread myself. It was the threads on fox hunting that made me think of it. The posters saying "No. TM doesn't want to ban fox hunting. She is holding a free vote which has been a manifesto pledge for x number of years.". It's a party line. Like their line last time around where they were "amending the law to bring it in line with Scotland."

She's quoted as saying she personally supports fox hunting and the Conservatives have held off having that "free" vote until they're confident it will be passed. Of course they want to repeal the ban. The lines being repeated on here are spin.

MaggieLightBlue · 15/05/2017 19:58

I've been posting pro labour posts on here and I can assure you I am not paid to do so.

BelleTheSheepdog · 15/05/2017 19:59

My uncharitable thought is that it's the parents of Momentum types who will be funding them.

MaggieLightBlue · 15/05/2017 20:02

The self-servatives are the party with lots of money behind them and could easily pay journos and the like to post on here.

haveacupoftea · 15/05/2017 20:05

Yeah because any woman with a political opinion must be getting paid for discussing it Hmm

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 15/05/2017 20:07

self-servatives

Ah how hilarious Confused

TheBogQueen · 15/05/2017 20:09

Well yes haveacupoftea that's clearly what everyone is saying Hmm

deeedeee · 15/05/2017 20:09

you are all just as bad as each other

"parents of momentum types"

"self-servatives"

Maggie it could just as easily be either side.

If it goes on everyone will be at it.

Apart from the Lib Dems, I've not seen much of that going on. Will no one think about poor Tim?

deeedeee · 15/05/2017 20:14

poor tim :-(

caroldecker · 15/05/2017 20:22

I don't know how anyone can accuse a STRONG AND STABLE poster of being a paid stooge?

Beebeeeight · 15/05/2017 20:24

I was convinced during the 2014 Scottish referendum that a good few of the posters were staff of labour MPs.

TresDesolee · 15/05/2017 20:27

I was about to volunteer my astroturfing services to Tim but I'm not sure I know enough about GAY SEX

MagicTractor · 15/05/2017 20:28

Id troll for Vince Cable though.

deeedeee · 15/05/2017 20:28

hey carole! missed ya!

MagicTractor · 15/05/2017 20:28

Brilliant comment Carole, what this thread needs is some stability. We wouldn't want it to end in Chaos.
