to ask you for a small loan?

I've seen a house I really want to buy!

If 675,000 Mumsnetters could just lend me a pound for, say, 6 months, I'd be sorted Grin. That would give me enough time to get my house up to scratch for selling.

Or just 135,000 of you lend me a fiver?

Please, please, please oh please! Am good for the money, promise.

Sorry £674,999

nofoamlatte · 12/05/2017 20:13

I'm in...although that's a $1.77 CA!

pnutter · 12/05/2017 20:13

I'll give you a pound if I can have a spare key Brew

AyeAyeFishyPie · 12/05/2017 20:14

I'll sell you a pound for a joke. I've had a terrible day and if you could cheer me up I will give you the quid and don't want it back.

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 12/05/2017 20:15

I'll give you £20, simply for the fact that I LOVE your username Grin

CabbagePatchKid91 · 12/05/2017 20:17

What is Jeffery?

Catgirl83 · 12/05/2017 20:18

I'll donate £1. I'll double it for a link to the house...

MatildaTheCat · 12/05/2017 20:20

Will we all be on the deeds? If we aren't married we are all leaving ourselves open to being very vulnerable unless we are on those deeds.

If you put me on the deeds I'll be good for as much as £10. Grin

ALemonyPea · 12/05/2017 20:22

I'll loan you £1, if I can stop with you one weekend to save on hotel costs in London.

Crashbangwhatausername · 12/05/2017 20:22

If you set up a page I'll put in a fiver but it would need pics. sod it, if you were cheeky enough I'd go all out a put a tenner in

Code42 · 12/05/2017 20:22

I'll give you a pound- or a fiver and a loo brush that you must promise to use religiously: the choice is yours Grin

LynetteScavo · 12/05/2017 20:23

I give you a pound to keep forever, but you need to set up a way we can give it to you.

Paffle · 12/05/2017 20:24

I'm in OP

PossibiliTea · 12/05/2017 20:25

Is 50p ok? My car insurance came out today otherwise it would be a fiver Smile

Noofly · 12/05/2017 20:25

I've got a whole tub of 1p & 2p pieces you can have. It's cluttering up my hallway and I can't be bothered going to the bank or wherever to cash it in. It's got to have a few pounds in it. Grin

Altimate · 12/05/2017 20:26

You can have another fiver from me. Seriously, I'd love for this to work!

requestingsunshine · 12/05/2017 20:29

Yes I'd give a £1, no need to pay it back. purely so I could see how much you managed to get on just giving! I'm hoping you're setting up that page right now op!

requestingsunshine · 12/05/2017 20:30

Oh and if the dm get hold of this you'll get loads more! Grin

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 12/05/2017 20:31

OP
I'll do you a deal. If the house has an old slate roof I'll give you a quid now if you agree that we can split the profit of selling the slates as artisanal plates to hipster restaurants.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 12/05/2017 20:31

Aww my cockles are a-warming.

It would be lovely if we could crowd fund each other this way

Very interesting that you are user 1,046,628 badmgr. Finally, membership has broken the million mark.

So this means only about half of all registered users need to send me a £1 and I'll get my house! I'm sure I've annoyed or offended the other half, so they can carry on as usual.

You have £95.91p so far, a ten shilling postal order, assorted foreign coinage and some coppers which need counting.

That's in almost 2 hours.

Someone who can do big sums needs to work out how long this post needs to stay in chat before you get your house. You might be looking at putting the money towards a sheltered flat instead. Grin

PossumInAPearTree · 12/05/2017 20:36

I'm in.

Lweji · 12/05/2017 20:37

You are selling yourself short, OP.

Why not ask The President for a small loan?

I'm sure he won't mind. It's a small figure.

motherinferior · 12/05/2017 20:40

Oh go on, you can have a fiver.

ECR123 · 12/05/2017 20:41

I'm in!
