I've seen a house I really want to buy!

If 675,000 Mumsnetters could just lend me a pound for, say, 6 months, I'd be sorted Grin. That would give me enough time to get my house up to scratch for selling.

Or just 135,000 of you lend me a fiver?

Please, please, please oh please! Am good for the money, promise.

I would OP, but I have just agreed to pass all my millions to a lovely Nigerian Prince who is going to give it back to me with a tidy profit.

Once I get it back though I will give you a fiver.

MycatsaPirate · 12/05/2017 19:32

Well I would have given you £1 but someone put the idea of Jeff in his pants in his bedroom into my head and now I feel quite ill and will have to go and have some smelling salts.

Hoppinggreen · 12/05/2017 19:34

I think it's reasonable and wouid be happy to pay my £1
However, I would expect to be able to turn up at anytime, be offered a basket of artisanal slippers and fed Gin and Pom bears. I wouid also expect to be allowed to come in and poo in your toilet if I was in the area.

Hopping Grin Grin Grin

KatyBerry · 12/05/2017 19:36

you've given me more than £1's worth of entertainment and I think you agreed with me once so that's definitely worth £1
I'm in.
I'll need a charge over the property to be registered on the deeds, of course.

badmgr · 12/05/2017 19:37

I'm fairly new and my number is 1046628

Scribblegirl · 12/05/2017 19:38

SirVixofVixHall · 12/05/2017 19:40

I'll give you a pound if you let me come and stay for one night every 3 years.

I know you're genuine, I've seen your nickname around a lot for years; of course I trust you.

But please post a link, I am dying of curiosity.

Andrewofgg · 12/05/2017 19:44

It's all been said before:

SpeckledyHen · 12/05/2017 19:44

I would like to invest a tenner rather than loan you a quid . On the condition that you buy me out in 10 years time at the market value - hoping to double my money .

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2017 19:45

I have a paper cup full of euro cents and a $1 bill if that's any use.

I believe there's about 10 posters on MN tops.

Funnyfarmer · 12/05/2017 19:45

You can have a quid of me. Consider it a house warming gift. I do expect an invite to the house warming though. And as I will be travelling from Manchester I will require an over night stay. With breakfast

Note3 · 12/05/2017 19:49

My children won't be able to afford a house by the time they're old enough so I may as well protect them from false dreams and raid their penny pots now and help you out. They definitely have combined wealth of about £2.34 I reckon. Consider it yours.

John4703 · 12/05/2017 19:53

This is one of the most blatant asks for cash I've ever seen, the OP is totally unreasonable to even ask.
I'll chip in a pound as she deserves it for the cheek of asking.
set up a justgiving page.

April229 · 12/05/2017 19:54

I'm in for £1 - no need to pay me back :)

yoursforthetalking · 12/05/2017 19:58

I'll give you a pound for the fun of reading this. I would like you to treat it like a sponsorship though, and post regular updates with pix about how it's going and what sort of parking issues you have with the neighbours and so on.

DeeDooDee · 12/05/2017 20:00

If you used Just Giving you would need more than 675,000 Mumsnetters quids as Just Giving take 5% plus they charge a card payment fee. 🤔

AdoraBell · 12/05/2017 20:01

I've had a good old rummage down the back of the sofa OP and can offer you 7p, if that's any help Grin

Strikhedonia · 12/05/2017 20:03

I think I would give you a pound! For asking nicely without a sob story, I think you'd deserve to get your house.

Note for others who would like to copy: too late, it only worked once, it's only funny the first time Grin

KurriKurri · 12/05/2017 20:07

Do you take postal orders? If so I'm in for ten shillings.

mogloveseggs · 12/05/2017 20:07

Id give you a quid Smile

Rach6l · 12/05/2017 20:09

Hey this could really be something! We'll all give each other a pound to have our dream houses GrinGrinGrin

Goingtobeawesome · 12/05/2017 20:10

If you get £649,999 I'll give you the last pound Grin.
